The War And Treaty is launching their headlining 2023 “Lover’s Game Tour” on March 19 in Oklahoma City.

The husband-and-wife duo will visit 35 cities this spring with stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, New York, Detroit, Washington D.C., Louisville, and more before closing out the leg at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl on May 13.

Tickets for new headlining dates will be available Nov. 18, and fan club members can access tickets beginning tomorrow (Nov. 15). A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association and Vet Tix.

“The shows this year have felt more like a family reunion,” Michael Trotter Jr. notes. “You know how it is….some family you’ve known for a while and then you meet other family members you don’t know…but their vibe is so on point with yours that it’s more filling than the barbecue on the grill. We know next year’s tour is going to feel just like that so we just need to bring the right meats for the grill…the right beer for the cooler…and play the right songs!”

Fresh on the heels of their recent CMA Awards performance, the duo surprised fans with the release of their Blank Page EP.

Ken Roberts has been appointed the newest initiate to the Country Music Hall Of Fame And Museum’s Circle Guard in recognition of his significant contributions to the museum.

Emmylou Harris announced the honor during an intimate luncheon on the CMA Theater stage at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Roberts served on the museum’s board between 1996 and 2006, transitioning to Trustee Emeritus in 2016. When he served as president and CEO of the Frist Foundation, he guided the Frist Foundation’s 1997 leadership gift that helped make possible the museum’s move from Music Row to its current downtown location. That support also enabled the proper preservation and presentation of the Frist Library and Archive, which houses the museum’s collection of photography, sound recordings, films, periodicals, and more. An accomplished pianist, Roberts has also made crucial contributions to Nashville’s civic and cultural life for decades.

The Circle Guard celebrates individuals whose highest-level contributions of time, talent and treasure to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum safeguard the integrity of country music and make it accessible to a global audience. The Circle Guard recognition ranks as the highest distinction afforded those benefactors who exhibit an unwavering commitment to the museum and its mission. This is the third year in which the Circle Guard’s ranks have expanded since the designation was introduced by Circle Guard Founder Steve Turner in 2018.

Each year, for the two weeks leading up to the Medallion Ceremony—which is the formal induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame for its three newest members—the Circle Guard members share the life stories of those celebrated in the Hall of Fame Rotunda by leading the Road to the Hall of Fame: Rite of Remembrance and Salute. The annual ceremony, open to all museum visitors and occurring daily for two weeks, pays tribute to each of the Country Music Hall of Fame’s yearly classes and their inducted members.

Roberts joins existing members David Conrad, Bill Denny, Ken Levitan, Mary Ann McCready, Mike Milom, Seab Tuck, Steve Turner, Jerry Williams and Kyle Young.

Concord Music Publishing has inked a deal with Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jennifer Wayne. The worldwide deal will cover her future works.

Jennifer Wayne is best known as the founding member of the multi-ACM nominated group, Runaway June, alongside Natalie Stovall and Stevie Woodward. Wayne co-wrote several of Runaway June’s hit singles including “Lipstick,” “Wild West,” and Gold-certified “Buy My Own Drinks.” Their latest single “Broken Hearts (Do Broken Things)” was released on Oct. 28 and has already become a fan-favorite, flipping the script on post-breakup blues, and kicking off a bold new era for this chart-topping trio.

In addition to songwriting credits with Runaway June, Wayne, granddaughter of film icon John Wayne, has penned songs for artists including Marie Osmond, Eric Paslay, RaeLynn, Brittney Spencer, and The Shires. Just last week, Wayne was honored at the SESAC Nashville Music Awards for co-writing Keith Urban’s hit single “Wild Hearts,” which reached No. 2 on the U.S. Country radio airplay charts and No. 1 on Australia’s Country Hot 50 and Canada Country.

Courtney Allen, Director of A&R at Concord Music Publishing in Nashville, notes, “It is rare that you meet a person who every single person in this town loves and is a champion of. Jen’s talent, kindness, perseverance, work ethic and positivity are unmatched, and she is an absolute dream to work with. Our whole team is thrilled to be a part of the next chapter of her career that is sure to be filled with more success as both an artist and a songwriter!”

“I’m over the moon about signing with Concord. It’s a family and they are so passionate, creative, supportive, and work as a team to win for their writers,” Wayne shares. “I have to highlight Courtney Allen. I know firsthand there is no one that works harder for their writers than she does. I really can’t imagine being surrounded by better people. I have the ultimate dream team!”

Outside of music, Wayne has been featured in the Emmy Award-winning competition TV show CBS’s The Amazing Race, CMT’s I Love Kellie Pickler, and in the 2014 feature film Like A Country Song. She was also recently announced as the co-host of The Design Network’s Flip U, a new series that will premiere in 2023.

Chris Stapleton Partners With Ram For Custom ‘Traveller’ Truck

The Ram Truck brand and Chris Stapleton have partnered to create a Ram “Traveller” truck, designed specifically by the 8x Grammy-winning artist in collaboration with the Ram Truck design team. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum hosted a conversation between Stapleton and Ram CEO Mike Koval on the creation of the truck earlier this week.

The “Traveller” truck features custom exterior and interior designs that nod to the vintage nature of Ram trucks from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as modern cues of today. On the exterior, styling stems from a Stapleton favorite, the 1979 Ram Palomino truck, with linen cream, radar red, bison brown and cashmere colors. Additionally, the Palomino’s iconic striped graphics are adapted to fit the more sculptural 2500 Heavy Duty body. The truck also features retro-inspired Turbo Fin 18-inch wheels, a bright chrome center cap, the “Traveller” badge and a multi-faceted, three-dimensional Ram hood ornament.

The interior features personal design details, unique colors, textures and materials that pay homage to Stapleton’s musical career while representing his individual style. A custom, monochromatic Bison Brown color is featured throughout the interior palette with a pop of buffalo plaid flannel material integrated into the headrests, which is identical to the jacket worn by Stapleton on the cover of his debut album, Traveller. Completing the design is a customized Stapleton signature inlaid into the wood of the instrument panel.

“Our relationship with Chris Stapleton is special because he is not just a partner, we consider him to be a friend. He represents our shared values of hard-work, determination, and perseverance,” notes Koval. “Our journey with Chris throughout his career is something we are extremely proud of and to see this Ram Truck collaboration come to fruition is an endeavor we will cherish for a long time.”

Built on the platform of the 2500 Heavy Duty, the creation of the truck honors the former collaborations between Ram and Stapleton, including the 2016 Ram Nation concert and instrument donation for students at Stapleton’s former high school in Paintsville, Kentucky; the multi-year campaign anchored by Stapleton’s custom rendition of “I’m a Ram;” and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s current exhibit, Chris Stapleton: Since 1978, presented by Ram Trucks.

“Eric Geadelmann has spent countless hours and years of his life perfecting an expansive portrait of the history of the country music independent’s rebellion,” Jennings explains. “He came to us with a vision and has delivered a study of the artists and the paths they took to change the face of the music they loved. Coming together to celebrate this historic work will surely be a highlight of any true music lover’s year. I’m excited to be a part of it and the music world will be better for it.”

Jack Ingram, the film’s narrator and an executive producer of the project, will also moderate the panel and perform.

“I’m super excited to be part of this evening’s event,” adds Childers. “It’s an honor to not only be asked to be in this film, but to also be asked to play some music and share the stage with Jessi Colter. I’m real stoked to see all my buddies too.”

The documentary series features over 100 interviews with the era’s most iconic figures and those who carry the torch today, including Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris, Miranda Lambert, Billy Joe Shaver, Eric Church, Margo Price and Matthew McConaughey, along with Colter, Childers, and Jennings. It also features rare performance footage from Austin’s legendary music venue the Armadillo World Headquarters.

The six-part series is executive produced by Colter, Ingram and 9x Grammy winner Ray Benson, in partnership with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
