A special holiday episode of CMT Crossroads starring For King + Country is set to premiere on Dec. 12 on CMT.

CMT Crossroads Christmas: For King + Country & Friends will feature Breland, Chrissy Metz, Natalie Grant and Rebecca St. James performing renditions of time-honored Christmas classics, including “Joy To The World,” “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” “Angels We Have Heard On High,” “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” “Silent Night” and more. Known for their electric onstage drumming, the duo also turns in a show stopping performance of “Little Drummer Boy.”

During the special For King + Country’s Luke and Joel Smallbone and their guests will share Christmas memories, family traditions and what the holiday means to them, as well as heartfelt messages of peace and hope.

“What does Christmas mean to you? For us, it sounds like the most meaningful songs ever written,” the duo shares. “It looks like different genres, family members and cultures coming together–reunited under love, joy and the redemption of a baby boy. We linked arms with our country comrades at CMT to put together a special night that does just that… grateful.”

The one-hour episode will air at 9 p.m CT, with encores scheduled for Dec. 12, Dec. 18 and a special Christmas Eve airing on Dec. 24.

The multi-Grammy winning duo recently earned a nomination for the 2023 Grammy Awards alongside Hillary Scott of Lady A for their song, “For God Is With Us.” The single is up for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and marks the duo’s seventh career nomination.

The Academy of Country Music’s LEVel Up: Lifting Every Voice program is currently accepting applications and nominations for its 2023 cohort through Wednesday, Nov. 30.

The program is designed to drive the next generation of leaders in the music industry and empower participants to play a pivotal role in expanding the horizons into new audiences that transcend demographics and geography.

Rising leaders are encouraged to apply if they are established in the industry, willing to contribute to and able to benefit from the program, and have demonstrated a commitment and passion for making country music accessible and welcoming to all. Peers are encouraged to nominate candidates as well.

The first year of ACM LEVel Up is spent learning while collaborating to develop a proposed plan to expand country music’s reach into new and underrepresented audience segments. The next year is spent implementing the developed plan.

Members of the 2023 cohort will have the opportunity to learn from established executives from across the music industry and will serve as ambassadors for diversity, equity, and inclusion in country music.

Recently crowned CCMA Entertainer of the Year Tenille Townes will make her acting debut in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Time For Him To Come Home For Christmas. Starring Holland Roden and Tyler Hynes, the new movie will premiere on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 9 p.m. CT as part of the network’s annual “Miracles of Christmas” programming event.

The movie is the fifth installment from executive producer and country superstar Blake Shelton. It’s based on the book Time For Me To Come Home by Dorothy Shackleford and Travis Thrasher, as well as Shelton’s song of the same name, which Townes performs during the film.

“Growing up in my house at Christmas time, we always had the Hallmark channel on. It always set the scene for the holiday season, and this is truly such a cool full circle,” shares Townes. “It was an honor to be a part of this and it was such a fun experience getting to say a few lines and put on a concert in a movie for the first time! The entire crew and cast were lovely to work with and I loved learning how it all comes together. Can’t wait to celebrate the holidays, being a part of this movie this year!”

The movie begins four days before Christmas when Elizabeth Athens (Roden) receives a voicemail where a man she doesn’t know makes a final plea to the love of his life for a second chance, asking to meet on Christmas Eve at the unnamed spot where they first met. As she’s swept into the search for the mystery caller, she’s reunited with her best friend Josh (Hynes), who is home for Christmas for the first time in years. On this special Christmas, a wrong number will put Elizabeth on an exciting journey of romance and adventure that will give her and three other lost souls a second chance at happiness.

Parker McCollum has announced dates for the second leg of his upcoming 2023 headlining tour.

The summer leg of McCollum’s 2023 trek will feature special guests Larry Fleet, Jackson Dean and Randy Rogers Band and will take him through Toledo, Dallas, Indianapolis, Buffalo, and more through Aug. 19.

“Cannot wait to be out on the road next year! Headlining a tour for most of the year and getting to take Larry Fleet and Jackson Dean along with me is going to be a blast,” McCollum shares. “Such talented guys who deserve the spotlight.”

Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Nov. 29 through Dec. 1. Pre-sale tickets will then be available Nov. 30, with public on-sale beginning Dec. 2.

Earlier this year, McCollum made his debut at RodeoHouston to a sold out crowd of over 73,000. He also performed at Austin City Limits for the first time, and he’ll soon kick off the show’s 2023 season.

Miranda Lambert is welcoming fans to the table with a new cookbook, Y’all Eat Yet? Welcome to The Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen, due out April 25 from Dey Street Books.
