Willie Nelson Announces Lineup For Largest ‘Outlaw Music Festival Tour’ Yet

Willie Nelson‘s largest “Outlaw Music Festival Tour” to date is set for this year, with a huge lineup on tap for the first 16 shows across the nation. The tour continues the celebration of the artist’s legendary life and legacy in his milestone 90th birthday year.

Along with Nelson & Family, the journey will feature Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, The Avett Brothers, John Fogerty, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Whiskey Myers, Gov’t Mule, Marcus King, Margo Price, Trampled By Turtles, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Kathleen Edwards, Flatland Cavalry, Kurt Vile And The Violators, Brittney Spencer and Particle Kid, with additional shows yet to be announced.

“I can’t wait to be on the road with the amazing group of artists joining us on this year’s ‘Outlaw Music Festival Tour,'” says Nelson. “It is always a great day of music and fun with family, friends and the incredible fans, and even more special this year in celebration of my 90th birthday.”

Tickets as well as VIP packages including prime seating and exclusive festival merchandise will be available this Friday, March 17. With Citi being the official card of the “Outlaw Music Festival Tour,” Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets today (March 14) until 10 p.m. local time on Thursday, March 16 through the Citi Entertainment program.

The Frontmen Ink With BMG/BBR Music Group

The Frontmen have signed with BMG/BBR Music Group.

The trio of Richie McDonald (formerly of Lonestar), Tim Rushlow (formerly of Little Texas) and Larry Stewart (Restless Heart) boasts a collective arsenal of 30 No. 1 hits and over 30 million records sold. They are set to release new music this year as well as new, re-recorded versions of their greatest hits, enlisting Mickey Jack Cones as producer.

“Tim, Larry and Richie were instantly recognizable and celebrated voices of their era, who consistently racked up Airplay and Sales success,” says Jon Loba, President of BMG Nashville. “Since the three joined forces to become The Frontmen, fans are not only continuing to celebrate their previous individual hits, but reacting passionately to their fresh, compelling and contemporary sound that while completely new, still has a warm familiarity of their instantly recognizable past. The group initially began as a one-off salute to the troops, but it quickly grew into a series of tours that found the three performing for armed forces around the world. The success of the tours created a more permanent vision and The Frontmen began selling out shows from coast-to-coast, driven by a setlist that is considered the soundtrack of a generation. 

The trio has also signed with Oswald Entertainment Group for management, UTA for bookingAbsolute Publicity for PR representation and Clyde Bright for business management. 

In addition to their 2023 tour dates, The Frontmen will perform on June 11 at CMA Fest on the Dr. Pepper Amp Stage.

RaeLynn Signs Exclusive Booking Deal With Kinkead Entertainment Agency

Multi-Platinum recording artist, author and songwriter RaeLynn has joined The Kinkead Entertainment Agency for exclusive representation in all areas of touring, film, TV, music and private engagements.

Alex Angelo Signs Publishing Deal With Symphonic Distribution

Nashville-based producer and songwriter Alex Angelo has signed a global publishing agreement with Symphonic Distribution.

Angelo is the flagship writer for the brand new publishing branch of Symphonic, helmed by CCO Randall Foster and Creative Director Eric Olson.

The young musician learned from mentors including Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Antonio Dixon, and has collaborated with Patrick “J. Que” Smith (Usher, Britney Spears, Chris Brown), Gayle, Christian Stalnecker (Kane Brown, Chris Young), DQ (Beyonce, Jason Derulo, Demi Lovato), Willie Jones and more. Angelo is currently working on releasing his own music in addition to writing for other artists.

“We are thrilled to bring Alex into the family as our first signed writer,” says Foster. “His versatility and work ethic are refreshing and we cannot wait to do big things with him.”

Elizabeth Lombardi Joins CAA [Exclusive]

Elizabeth Lombardi has joined CAA as a Business Affairs Executive in the Music Touring department and will be based in the agency’s Nashville office.

Lombardi comes to CAA from Milom Crow Kelley Beckett Shehan PLC, where she served as an Associate Attorney. Her previous roles include in-house work at Parallon/HCA and BMG/BBR Music Group.

She received her J.D. from Belmont’s College of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her B.B.A. from the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. Lombardi also currently sits on the Advisory Council for the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Troubadour Society.

Reservoir Signs Grammy-Nominated Writer-Producer Christian Stalnecker [Exclusive]

Reservoir has announced the signing of with Grammy-nominated writer-producer Christian Stalnecker. The publishing deal includes Stalnecker’s future works, as well as several previous releases including the No. 1 hits “Thank God” by Kane Brown with Katelyn Brown, “Different Man” by Kane with Blake Shelton and “Rescue Me” by Chris Young, among others.

With Kane and Katelyn Brown’s “Thank God,” Stalnecker earned his first No. 1 as a songwriter. The tune held the top spot on Country Airplay for two weeks and also reached No. 13 on the Hot 100, No. 21 on Mediabase’s Top 40 radio chart and No. 26 on American Top 40 Hot AC chart, demonstrating its success across genres.

Stalnecker began his career in a Christian revival family band before beginning to pursue pop music in high school. He landed support slots on tours with Destiny’s Child, Christina Aguilera, the Backstreet Boys and more. After relocating to Los Angeles, he wrote for artists such as El DeBarge and Dreezy. Since moving to Nashville, Stalnecker has collaborated with artists such as T-Pain, Rick Ross, Wale, Kane Brown, Chris Young and many more. Stalnecker was nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Album for Second Chance by El DeBarge.

Of the deal, Stalnecker says, “As a southern boy from Florida, who grew up on a bus in Christian music, who wound up being a pop artist, who wrote R&B and hip-hop songs, who ended up with country hits—I am thrilled to work with the Reservoir team to continue writing across genres from Nashville.” He adds, “I can’t think of a better crew to do it with. Luke Combs Makes History With 15th Consecutive No. 1 ‘Going, Going, Gone’

Luke Combs continues his record-breaking run at country radio this week as his single, “Going, Going, Gone,” reaches the top of the charts, marking his 15th consecutive No. 1. The tune was co-written by Combs with Ray Fulcher and James McNair, and hit the top of the MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart on three different occasions.

The feat is the longest consecutive streak of No. 1 hits for an artist since their debut single, and makes Combs one of the fastest to accumulate 15 No. 1s, joining the ranks of Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and Alabama.

Combs is having another monumental year, and will release his new album, Gettin’ Old, a companion to his acclaimed 2022 record, Growin’ Up, next Friday, March 24 via River House Artists/Columbia Nashville. Honorees Announced For 2023 Country Radio Hall Of Fame

As Country Radio Seminar begins in downtown Nashville, the Country Radio Broadcasters announced the honorees for the 2023 Country Radio Hall of Fame. Kelsea Ballerini joined Country Radio Hall of Fame co-chairs Joel Raab and Tim Roberts during the CRS Honors to reveal the honorees.

The list includes six radio professionals in two categories: On-Air personality and Radio (Off-Air broadcasters). Pam Green, Charlie Morgan, Wade Jessen and John Willyard are among the distinguished radio category honorees, while Trish Biondo and Dollar Bill Lawson are recognized for their outstanding on-air contributions.

“We are thrilled to honor this year’s inductees, whose contributions to the country radio industry have been significant and impactful. Their contributions have helped shape the industry, and we look forward to recognizing their achievements at the induction ceremony later this year,” shares Raab.

The Country Radio Hall of Fame is dedicated to the recognition of those individuals who have made significant contributions to the country radio/music industry over a 20-year period, 15 of which must be in the country format. The honorees will be heralded at the Country Radio Hall of Fame Induction and Dinner on Monday, July 10, at the Virgin Hotel Nashville. Morgan Wallen continues to dominate both the country streaming songs chart and the country albums chart this week according to Luminate data.

Wallen makes up the top 5 on country streaming songs chart as “Last Night” remains at No. 1 with 41 million new streams adding to 151 million rotations to date, which puts it at No. 2 on the all-genre chart. “Thinkin’ Bout Me” claims No. 2 on the country songs chart with 20 million streams, and “One Thing At A Time” notches No. 3 with 20 million new streams and 107 million rotations to date. “Ain’t That Some” lands at No. 4 with 19 million as “You Proof” moves to No. 5 with 18 million new streams and 465 million rotations to date.

Three of Wallen’s projects top the country albums chart with his latest release One Thing At A Time landing at No. 1 with 501K in total consumption (111K album only/483 million song streams), earning the biggest album debut since Taylor Swift’s Midnights in 2022 and the biggest country album debut since Swift’s Red.
