Shaffer Named National Director of Promotion at Wheelhouse Records

BBR Music Group has promoted Jennifer Shaffer to National Director of Promotion for Wheelhouse Records, the label group’s newest imprint.

Shaffer initially joined Wheelhouse Records in August as Director of Southwest/Midwest Promotion when she reunited with the label’s VP of Promotion Teddi Bonadies, with whom she previously worked at Streamsound, Rodeowave and Columbia Records.

A graduate of James Madison University, Shaffer’s career includes stops at Atlantic, Warner Bros Nashville, MCA Nashville, Lyric Street, Columbia, WAR Nashville, Rodeowave, Sidewalk and Streamsound Records.

“I have known and worked along Jennifer’s side for years. Her enthusiasm and energy is contagious! I am very proud to have her on the Wheelhouse team,” says Bonadies.

“I am honored and grateful to Benny Brown, Jon Loba, Carson James and Teddi for giving me this opportunity,” says Shaffer. “I love the all-for-one atmosphere within the BBR Music Group family, and I am thrilled to be able to work alongside Teddi to help lead the team in making Wheelhouse Records a name in the country music world. ”

Roger Fregoso Joins Big Loud Records For Midwest Promotions

Big Loud Records has announced Roger Fregoso as the label’s Midwest Region Director of Promotion.

Fregoso completes the newly formed promotion team made up of David Clapper, Southeast Region; Nikki Jimenez, Northeast Region; and Dave Kirth, West Coast Region, all led by National Director of Promotion Stacy Blythe and label president Clay Hunnicutt.

“Roger is the right guy at the right time to complete our Big Loud Records promotion squad,” says Hunnicutt. “His training, background and passion for his artists is already well known, and we have no doubt he’ll bring that same level of engagement to the label. Now we’re fully loaded and off to the races!”

Fregoso most recently worked at Curb Records, where he handled special promotion projects following the label’s absorption of sister imprint Sidewalk Records. Fregoso began his three-year stint with the Curb family as the West Coast regional for the start-up Sidewalk Records in 2012.

“With the two C’s in hand – chocolate and Chris Lane music – I cannot wait to hit the road and reconnect with my radio friends throughout the Midwest! I’m very thankful to Clay [Hunnicutt] and Stacy [Blythe] for choosing me and I’m thrilled to be a part of this fantastic promotion family,” shares Fregoso.

Big Loud Records is the newly-launched label founded by manager Seth England, producer Joey Moi, songwriter Craig Wiseman, manager Kevin “Chief” Zaruk and radio veteran Hunnicutt.

The Valory Music Co. announced today (Oct. 8) that Bradford Hollingsworth has been named Director of Northeast Promotion & Marketing for the Big Machine Label Group imprint. Effective this week, Hollingsworth will begin promoting the label’s artists including Brantley Gilbert, Thomas Rhett, Justin Moore, RaeLynn, The Mavericks and Eli Young Band.

“We’re all excited to have Bradford join us at The Valory Music Co.,” said SVP Promotion George Briner. “He comes to us with a vast background of experience including serving in our country’s military, working with the Detroit Pistons and Nashville Predators, as well as Country Radio Broadcasters and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce.”

CRB Offers Early Look at Country Radio Seminar 2016 Agenda

CRS 2016Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. has revealed an advance version of its agenda for Country Radio Seminar 2016, which will be held Feb. 8-10 at the Omni Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tenn.

The three-day event will offer attendees panels and educational presentations centered around hot topics, sales, technology, social media, programming, and more.

Arista Nashville Names Abi Fishbone As Director, Regional Promotion

Abi Fishbone has been added as Director, Regional Promotion at Arista Nashville.

With the announcement, VP, National Promotion Lesly Simon remarked, “Abi is one of the most respected record promoters in the Northeast and is a wonderful addition to the Arista team!”

Fishbone shared, “I am truly excited to be joining the Arista promotion team! Arista has such a remarkable history and an amazing roster of artists, and I feel thrilled, eager, and privileged to be a part of its future.”

A nine-year promotion veteran, Fishbone comes to the label from Stoney Creek Records, where she served as Director of Regional Promotion – Northeast since 2010, following a prior tenure with Curb Records.
