Tenille Townes Preps ‘Road To The Lemonade Stand’ EP

Tenille Townes is gearing up for the release of her new EP, Road to the Lemonade Stand, Feb. 7 on Columbia Nashville. The EP is being released in anticipation of Townes’ debut album, The Lemonade Stand, which will be released later this Spring.

“I wanted to put out this EP to continue to tell the story of these songs,” said Townes. “This EP is for everyone that has been on this road with me so far…the ones who have shared their stories at the shows and in messages and who have given these songs a home. You have shaped me and shaped the meaning of The Lemonade Stand. I’m so excited to walk on this Road to the Lemonade Stand with you.”

Produced by Jay Joyce, the EP features five songs penned by Townes including her current single, “Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking),” as well as a rendition of the Keith Urban hit “Stupid Boy.”

Townes recently participated in Cracker Barrel’s “Five Decades, One Voice” campaign, a project created to highlight the importance of women in country by celebrating legendary female artists and those following in their footsteps. For the project, Townes was personally selected by Brandi Carlile to collaborate on new versions of two songs —Townes’ “ Somebody’s Daughter” and Carlile’s “Fulton County Jane Doe.”

2. “White Horse”
3. “Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking)”

Chris Janson Celebrates Uplifting Fan Moment During Maryland Show

Chris Janson. Photo: Zachary A. Sinclair

Chris Janson recently had a special moment with fans during a concert in Bel Air, Maryland at the APG Federal Credit Union Arena on Saturday (Jan. 11). Janson saw a group of fans with signs requesting the song “Hawaii On Me,” from his latest album Real Friends. He invited one fan to the front of the stage, and learned that she had stage IV cancer. He sang “Hawaii On Me,” as well as “Everybody’s Going Through Something.”

“What an inspirational night we had in Maryland on Saturday,” Janson said. “I am out on the road performing for those special moments with people whose souls have been touched by music and, quite honestly, those moments are the highlights of my career. When I saw all the signs for our song ‘Hawaii On Me’ and a group of people wearing Hawaiian leis, it was clear to me why they were there. It’s so powerful to watch real life happen. ‘Hawaii On Me’ is a celebration of the life you’ve lived, and I was proud to fulfill her request by singing that song. The whole moment—having her family there to experience it too—was really moving. I always want try to be the ‘Good Vibes’ guy because, ultimately, that’s what it’s all about.”

The Charlie Daniels Band, The Marshall Tucker Band Unite For Fire On The Mountain Tour

Longtime touring groups The Charlie Daniels Band and The Marshall Tucker Band will unite for their Fire On The Mountain Tour, set to launch April 23 in Enid, Oklahoma. The Scooter Brown Band will open select dates on the tour.

The tour’s title takes its name from The Marshall Tucker Band’s 1978 song “Fire On The Mountain,” and is a nod to The Charlie Daniels Band’s 1974 album of the same name (as well as a lyric in the group’s signature hit, “The Devil Went Down To Georgia”).

“We have played more shows with the MTB through the years than any other band and have worked together for over forty years,” says Charlie Daniels. “We have so much history and so many memories and the music is so compatible that when we get together, the audience, CDB and MTB have a big ole southern-style good time.”

“The idea of us touring again with the CDB leads to all kinds of possibilities,” says MTB lead singer Doug Gray. “It’s not just about the music, but also the friendships and the reunion with the fans who’ve been with us for many years. We’ll be playing all of our hit songs as well as material from an upcoming re-released vinyl album.”

Lady Antebellum has notched their 10th career chart-topping single with “What If I Never Get Over You,” which crowns both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart, as well as Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart this week.

“What If I Never Get Over You,” which has also been certified Gold by the RIAA, has earned more than 163 million streams and is the first single from the trio’s album Ocean, which released via BMLG Records in November.

Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood joined their BMLG Records crew to celebrate their very first No. 1 single together; the trio joined the label in September 2018.

“The moment we heard ‘What If I Never Get Over You’ we knew it was going to be an integral piece of Ocean,” Haywood said. “It has been a long time since we released a mid-temp longing duet like this which is so much of who we are and how we started. It sort of felt like coming home and we are grateful to the team behind us and country radio for believing in the song as much as we did from the start.”

They will launch the Ocean 2020 Tour in May, with openers Jake Owen and Maddie & Tae.
