BMI Returns To Austin City Limits Festival With Signature Stage

September 25, 2018/by Sarah Skates

The line-up on the BMI stage at Austin City Limits Music Festival continues the organization’s track record of presenting future stars. There will be 24 up-and-coming artists performing over two weekends.

The weekend of Oct. 5-7 features sleek-toned indie pop band lovelytheband, alternative-rap trio Injury Reserve, synth-pop indie band flor and alt-rock writer/producer Mikky Ekko.

The second weekend (Oct. 12-14) will kick off with indie-rock duo The Blancos, followed by gritty country-Americana lyricist Ruston Kelly, and bluegrass-rockers Trampled By Turtles. Folk-rock duo The Sisterhood Band will close out the PRO’s stage on the final evening of the festival.

For well over a decade, the BMI stage has helped superstars launch their careers in legendary Zilker Park, including a 2016 performance from country songstress Maren Morris who went on to win a GRAMMY later that year. This year’s talent will join the ranks of artists including Miranda Lambert, Alessia Cara, X Ambassadors, Gary Clark, Jr., Shakey Graves, Jon Pardi, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Luke Combs, who have all performed at the festival.
