Shelton, Lambert Announce Engagement

People.com reports that one of Country music’s favorite couples got engaged over the weekend. Blake Shelton surprised his girlfriend of five years, Miranda Lambert, with a diamond and platinum engagement ring on Sunday, May 9.

It’s already been a big year for the stars. Both racked up at the recent ACM Awards, and Lambert scored her first No. 1 hit “White Liar,” while Shelton released a new six-pak album and had the hit “Hillbilly Bone.”
