Kayla Adams – Sober & Sorry

Kayla Adams is making a buzz as one of the most exciting young female contemporary Country singers to hit the Nashville music scene in recent times. At 24 she’s already a veteran of years on the stage as both a band member and solo performer in her native Montana and throughout America. Adams has shared the stage with acts as diverse as Kellie Pickler, Rodney Atkins, LL Cool J, Heidi Newfield, and Smashmouth. Kayla’s new single on SSM Entertainment, “Sober & Sorry,” combines the best qualities of the female legends of the ’90s with the electrifying energy of today’s Country stars.
The vivacious blue-eyed blonde’s songwriting style, and avid outdoorswoman draws inspiration from the wide open spaces she grew up in. Adams captivates live audiences with her honesty and a genuine love for people and for the music.

Shawna Russell used her tour bus (formerly owned by country legend Willie Nelson) to help with the collection of supplies for tornado victims in Shawnee, Okla. After spreading the word through social media, Russell, her family and band members gathered volunteers to help accept donations and load them onto the bus. By day’s end, donated items filled most available space on the bus and required three additional vehicles to help deliver the supplies to Dale Middle School, a distribution point for Shawnee and surrounding communities. Cash donations were also deposited at local banks where accounts have been established to help disaster victims.

Veronica Ballestrini – Cookies & Cream

Veronica Ballestrini began writing songs and playing guitar at the innocent age of 12. She learned early on the value of our modern social media phenomenon. Over the last several years, in fact, her fan base has exploded exponentially, spreading to all corners of the globe. With one modest dream and an Internet connection, the enthusiastic yet mature-beyond-her-years singer from Waterford, Connecticut, has raised more than a few eyebrows with her self-made success story.
The staggering numbers on her social network sites are proof that Veronica has that special ability to connect with people. She has amassed more than 4 million views of her videos on YouTube, and her online fans and followers number well into the hundreds of thousands. Part of Veronica’s success comes from her undeniable Pop-Country crossover appeal. She points out that while she considers her music to be Country, that doesn’t mean that it can’t have its own spin on the genre.
Veronica’s 2009 debut album, What I’m All About, capably demonstrated her unique take on the modern Pop-Country sound. She released three singles and videos from the record (“Amazing,” “Out There Somewhere,” “Don’t Say”), propelling her into the consciousness of Country music fans around the globe and earning more than a quarter-million views of her videos on CMT.com alone. Ballestrini has been out on the road performing her music on a Girl Scout tour, Festival tours, and tours with Secondhand Serenade, Alex Goot, and Juliet Simms of “The Voice”.
Veronica spent the last three years writing songs for her new project. Her sophomore album “Flip Side”is set to release June 17th, 2014. The first single off of the album is “Cookies and Cream”. Veronica’s most focused and polished effort to date.  “Cookies and Cream” reflects Veronica’s growth as a more mature singer and a more seasoned songwriter. It’s a process that she acknowledges is a natural evolution in her artistry. “I’ve been hurt, I’ve been broken, I’ve made mistakes, but I’ve also had the best days ever, and I’ve written songs about all these times” Veronica says. “I am excited to share what I’ve been up to. I’m writing from my heart about issues and things I’ve experienced, and hopefully people can identify with that.”

Ariana Hodes – Brand New Key

For most hopeful young actresses, it’s a long, hard stretch of highway between Concord, New Hampshire and Beverly Hills, but Ariana Hodes made the journey seem easy.  This summer she’ll hit the road again for a move to Nashville with her eye on the prize of Country music success.  Born into a musical family, performing has always been in her blood. “My mom was in a folk band at the New England Conservatory in Boston when she placed an ad for a guitarist.  My dad was a student at Boston College Law School and answered the ad.  Soon they formed an award-winning family rock-band called Peggosus.”
“My parents used to take my brother and me with them to their gigs. We were their roadies, stage hands and even handled the merch table.  I was always around show business and started performing in community theater plays and musicals when I was around 13.”  It wasn’t long before Hollywood started taking notice and this dark haired beauty began to rack up an impressive list of stage and screen credits, but Ariana wanted more.
In early 2014, she decided it was time to spread her wings and return to her musical roots.  With mentoring and guidance from old family friend, Mike Borchetta, and his wife, Martha, Ariana entered a recording studio.  Her first single, a soulful, bouncy cover of Melanie’s seventies mega hit “Brand New Key”, is ready to hit the charts and Ariana is anxious to once again hit the road.  This time she’ll meet and perform for Country radio programmers and their staffs.
In a nutshell, she’s a multi-talented singer/songwriter/dancer with Shakespearean theater training who plays guitar, piano, loves animals, sports and the Beatles.   In other words, Ariana Hodes is a force to be reckoned with.
“Music has always been a strong presence in my life and of equal interest to me creatively as acting, writing and producing — but the real catalyst for this effort was realizing that I felt incomplete when not singing and making music.  I’m doing this to find my voice, literally and figuratively.”

Erica Nicole – I Listen To My Bad Girl

Erica_6228_PSkinErica Nicole is a Southern girl with a driven passion for Country music. Growing up in Atlanta, Nicole always pursued music whether through school events, musical companies or the world renown, Callanwolde Children’s Choir.
Today, after visiting over 250 radio stations nationwide, Nicole is ready to launch her music at a whole new level. What you see and hear in her new single, “I Listen to My Bad Girl,” showcases her true capabilities. Working alongside some of Nashville’s best musicians, and veteran Nashville producer Kent Wells (Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire), you also hear that “classic Nashville sound.”
“With the release of my new single, I feel like I’m finally giving Country radio and my fans what I’m vocally and musically capable of,” says Nicole. She says working with Wells has encouraged her to strive in her musical and writing capabilities.
“I Listen To My Bad Girl” is currently climbing on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart.

Jaida Dreyer – "Half Broke Horses"

jdBorn in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and raised in Latimer, Iowa, Jaida Dreyer was a “horse-crazy” little girl who grew up showing competitively and won her first of many world championships at 5, getting an early education in the sort of work ethic required to reach success. Before she turned 18, Dreyer had lived in seven states, including Iowa, Florida, Wisconsin, and Tennessee, with the bulk of her time spent between Texas and Georgia. During those gypsy years, Dreyer says, music and songwriting remained a constant, and when forced to retire from riding at 17, she took the biggest risk of her life: “The only other thing I knew how to do was write songs,” Dreyer says. “Growing up on the road, I learned that life isn’t a fairy tale,” Dreyer says. “It gave me a lot to write about, and a story that most 17 year old girls don’t have. I look at it as a blessing. My crooked road has given me a career.”
Dreyer didn’t grow up intending to become a country music artist, but to hear the story of her crooked road to Nashville, it’s clear she was meant to be here all along. Her unmistakable voice, bubbly personality, and eclectic, insightful songwriting scored her a publishing deal with Grammy Award-winning producer Byron Gallimore (Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Sugarland) at the precocious age of 19; this February, Gallimore announced the creation of his own label, Streamsound Records, and threw his full support behind Dreyer’s career. “I’m proud for her to be our flagship artist,” says Gallimore. “She’s the real deal. I couldn’t feel stronger about anybody.”
As the flagship artist on Streamsound Records, she released two singles to country radio in 2012, “Guys Girl” and “Confessions.” The year proved to be a busy one for her as she has been traveling the country on a coast-to-coast radio promotion tour, where she has made stops at over 80 radio stations.
She has made quite an impression at radio with early support shown by major stations including KILT in Houston, KASE in Austin, KNTY in Sacramento, and KUPL in Portland among others. She and Gallimore have been working meticulously on her debut album, set for release in the coming months. A talented songwriter in her own right, Jaida will have a hand in writing or co-writing all of the songs on her debut release.
For more information on Jaida and to check out live performances from her radio tour you can go to www.jaidadreyer.com.

Wynonna

Wynonna

The Country Music Association continues to expand its international reach; the organization will host its first International Country Music Marketing Summit at Disneyland Paris on March 1.
The summit will include panels, research presentations, opportunities to network and a CMA Songwriters Series event featuring Wynonna, Sugarland’s Kristian Bush, singer-songwriter Brett James and songwriter Dallas Davidson. The CMA Songwriters series will be hosted by Bob DiPiero.
“With immediate and convenient access to country music, the world market is fertile ground for our industry and artists,” said Steve Moore, CEO of the CMA, via a release. “Country artists are selling out major venues; our CMA Songwriter Series is returning to the UK and Ireland in February and new events like the ‘C2C: Country to Country’ Country Music Festival at the 02 Arena in London in March are a strong indication of the burgeoning popularity of the music and the need for this type of educational platform across the world.”
Early Bird registration for the event is available for $100. For information, visit CMAworld.com/internationalsummit. An application for media credentials is available at CMApress.com.
