The Mavericks have been tapped to perform at the 2013 National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Awards Dinner next month at the 2013 Radio Show convention. The Sept. 19 event is sponsored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando.
“The Mavericks’ infectious energy, passion and chemistry on stage will make this year’s NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner an unforgettable evening,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Radio John David. “These guys are great entertainers excited to join Radio to salute the Marconi nominees and winners. Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio.

On June 26, 2013, Branch & Dean officially forged a groundbreaking commitment as Celebrity Ambassadors to the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) with the donation of a portion of single/record sales from “The Dash” to help fund research for a cure of Cystic Fibrosis.

Brinley Addington – Middle Of Nowhere

Hailing from Kingsport, Tennessee, Brinley Addington’s strong passion for country music has paved a clear path for him in Nashville. In addition to developing his career under the guidance of Chris Young, he’s shared the stage with the likes of Florida-Georgia Line, Justin Moore, The Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Josh Turner, and many more. Performances include appearances at well-known stages across the country including The Bluebird Café and Chicago’s Joe’s Bar. Addington is now gearing up for the highly anticipated release of his sophomore project, Middle of Nowhere. With veteran producer Phil O’Donnell and up-and-coming producer, Aaron Eshuis, this project has been a labor of love for the Tennessee native.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been blessed with. So many cool things are happening, it’s just unreal,” says Addington. “I get to live in Nashville, TN, write with some of my songwriting heroes, and get to travel to so many cool places to play shows with artists I’ve looked up to for a long time. Addington’s passion for Country music began well before the dynamic performer can even remember. At age three, Brinley began emulating his favorite legends from the Grand Ole Opry stage on top of his parent’s coffee table. Brinley was influenced early on by the hymns he heard on Sunday morning and the traditional country voices of Randy Travis, Vince Gill, and Alan Jackson. As time went by, Brinley gained inspiration from modern Country artists like Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw. Those early hymns and newly found love of modern day country inspired Brinley to begin performing at his Church in his early teens. It was at that time he realized God’s plan for his life: making music… and he never turned back…
Brinley introduced himself first to country music with the release of his debut full-length album Homegrown in 2011. This project garnered outstanding reviews from peers and music industry professionals alike. The album peaked at #53 on the iTunes country album charts independently. Homegrown produced two music videos (“Hang on a Farm,” “As Long As You Love Me”) that have already gained over 100,000 views. Booked by William Morris Endeavor, Addington has served as headliner and supporting act at numerous fairs, festivals, and college events across the country and has participated in unique country events such as the Blake Shelton & Friends Cruise.
Addington’s sophomore album Middle of Nowhere is slated for an August 5th release. The title track and lead single will be shipped to Country radio on July 21st.

“I’m a suburban kid, but I grew up on a dirt road. I still live on a dirt road, a block from the street I grew up on. I’d kinda say I’m full-on Midwest, but that’s not actually an accurate description either, ‘cause I’ve traveled around so much. I can tell you this, though: those guys who have the jacked up trucks, they laugh at a lot of the same stuff I do – because at the end of the day, a good time is a good time wherever you go.”

No matter where you are, how hard life might be or what you dream, Uncle Kracker believes the most powerful thing you can do is celebrate the now. Whether it’s the dumped-but-loving-the-future “Nobody’s Sad on a Saturday Night,” the gone for the weekend “In Between Disasters” or the Tom Petty-feeling small town truth behind what people reveal “It Is What It Is,” Uncle Kracker’s conversational baritone cuts through the mix to put life in perspective.

That easy-going ability to take life as it comes has given Uncle Kracker a place in Country (with the Top 10 hit “Smile”), Pop (“Drift Away,” his Dobie Gray redux that featured Gray on vocals, set a Billboard record for most weeks at #1 on any chart, topping their Adult Contemporary chart for 28 weeks), Rock (“Follow Me,” from the double platinum Double Wide, was a Top 5 hit) and as a D.J./vocalist in rock/rap icon Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band. Then there was “When the Sun Goes Down,” the #1 Country hit that sat on top of the charts for 6 weeks with friend and sometimes tour mate Kenny Chesney plus the multi-format smash hit “All Summer Long” which he co-wrote with Kid Rock.
“There’s stuff to take serious,” he continues. “But it doesn’t make sense to give too much of a damn. Take it as it comes. It’s pretty simple. I’m trying to lift people’s spirits… Make’em feel good ‘cause everybody needs that.”
Working with acclaimed producer Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band, George Jones), the pair had one rule going into the studio: “If you can’t sing it with an acoustic guitar, we’re not cutting it.”
The result is a collection of songs that move from “Nuthin’ Changes,” a white trash homage to Joe Walsh’s “Life’s Been Good,” to the soul-shuffle “Happy,” which wishes an old girlfriend well to the plucky countryfied “You Got That Thang,” that’s equal parts taunt and invitation. There’s the crunchy clever “Four Letter Word,” with its stinging guitar and serious backbeat, capturing the manic nature of can’t-live-with-or-without’em relationships.
But what stands out most is how solid Uncle Kracker’s voice is throughout. Always a salty, but welcoming vocal presence, Stegall challenged the singer to really come to the table with his delivery.
“In Detroit, maybe it’s more about looking cool than stretching,” Uncle Kracker allows. “I mean, my first album was gonna be a rap record, so I’ve grown a lot in 12 years.”
“Keith wanted me to try things, to go for it… I’d be asking, ‘Do you shoot it down the middle? Go over the top?’ and Keith was like, ‘Just go in there and hit it.’ So, I was definitely out of my comfort zone.”
Uncle Kracker, who wrote or co-wrote all 11 songs, worked with a group of writers who truly understood his mind set.

Morgan Riley – Rowdy Shoutin' Cowboys

With a riveting passion for music, it’s clear that Morgan Riley offers something new to country audiences. Her newest release Collage is just that – a melting pot of genres with a honky-tonk rhythm. Riley has handled each curve with hope and exuberance – all the while trying to connect with her new country fan base.

A Maryland native, Riley knew she was destined to be a singer. Impressed by their daughter’s obvious talents, Riley’s parents were her greatest supporters in her pursuit of a music career. At a young age, Riley sang at weddings, anniversary parties, and by 15, she was recording at a local studio. With confident experience gained in live and studio performance, she made the move to the Big Apple at 18. While in New York City, Riley found herself regularly performing pop-R&B and recording at the legendary Hit Factory Studio. Her interest in country led her to move back to Greenville, South Carolina to begin perfecting her country edge.
With her father’s inspiring words not to give up on her dreams, it has paid off. Soon after, Riley and Green began writing together for Collage – a writing relationship whose chemistry she describes as “off the chart”. Grand Ole Opry Adds Wednesday Night Shows To Summer Schedule

Nashville will get an additional night of Opry performances each week this summer. The Grand Ole Opry® presented by Humana® is adding eight weeks of Wednesday night shows to its schedule, running June 19 – Aug. 7. The Wednesday evening performances will join the Opry’s Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday weekly scheduled lineup on the Opry’s show calendar.

Alison Krauss will celebrate her 20th anniversary as an Opry member on Wednesday, July 3, and The Band Perry will visit the Opry the following Wednesday, July 10, playing an extended 30-minute segment.
Additional performers scheduled for Wednesday evenings include American Idol finalist Janelle Arthur (who will make her Opry debut), Larry Gatlin, Kristen Kelly, Dustin Lynch and Restless Heart (June 19); and Aaron Tippin (June 26).

He has performed at Gexa Energy Pavilion, Texas Motor Speedway, Grapevine Opry, House of Blues (Dallas), Las Vegas, and many other venues across Texas. Derek’s live performances are high energy with extensive crowd interaction. His band “The D-Train Band” is one of the strongest bands in the country genre – a must see. Derek is eager to broaden his musical career into the mass market appeal and produce memorable music that embraces emotion, fun, and touches the hearts of millions of fans.
The man behind the music is even more impressive. Derek is a supporter of the NOCC (National Ovarian Cancer Coalition).
