“When Lee Greenwood announced that he wanted to host his All-Star Salute tribute concert in the Von Braun Center Propst Arena, we were ecstatic,” says Von Braun Center Director of Marketing and Public Relations Samantha Nielsen. “We knew the event would be hugely successful–not just for the VBC, but for the entire city of Huntsville and North Alabama… We will continue seeing benefits from hosting this event in Huntsville because there are still three 1-hour television specials from the Lee Greenwood tribute concert that will be aired nationally in 2022.”

In addition to great music on stage, Louis and Patti Breland of Breland Homes bestowed keys to two veterans and their families–SFC Scott Barkelow, USA (Ret) and SSG Michael Brown, USA–through a special partnership with Lee Greenwood and the Helping a Hero organization.

Andy Wickstrom, President of Henry Repeating Arms, presented three veterans, GySgt Brad Wallace, Sgt Michael Price, and MSG Ken Knight, with the Henry Military Service Tribute firearms in recognition of all who answer the call of duty. Blanco Brown, Diane Warren Team Up For ‘The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses’ Collab

Multi-Platinum artist Blanco Brown has released “Never Gonna Tame You (Original Song from The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses)” via BBR Music Group. Written by 12x Oscar nominee and Grammy, Emmy and two-time Golden Globe award winner Diane Warren, the track is featured in the feature-length documentary The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses, which is in theaters now.

Warren, a Songwriters Hall of Fame member, also co-produced the film and wrote the song inspired by the beauty and freedom of the mustang. In search of someone who could tap into the nuances and emotions of the song, Warren reached out to Brown after watching his rendition of the National Anthem at a Dodgers game.

“America’s mustangs represent us. They are living symbols of freedom and independence. This powerful film inspired me to write ‘Never Gonna Tame You’ for these beautiful and majestic creatures and for us who are lucky enough to share the planet with them. Their freedom is our freedom. Blanco Brown took this song to a whole other level. He sings with the voice of all those who long to be free and to stay free,” says Warren.

Since 2014, Brown has honed his sound of countrified influences and street-smart lingo. His viral hit “The Git Up” spawned nearly four billion views across social platforms, claiming the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for 12 weeks and the top-selling digital country song in the U.S. for 13 weeks. The Georgia native is a background singer, artist and Grammy-nominated engineer who has worked with big name talent including Fergie, Childish Gambino, Kane Brown and Chris Brown. His Platinum-certified collaboration “Just the Way” with Parmalee is currently in the Top 20 on Hot AC and has garnered more than 200 million on-demand streams, also marking Brown’s first No. 1 on country radio.

“Working with someone as accomplished, talented and lovely as Diane has been a blessing. I am incredibly honored not only that she chose me to sing one of her songs, but this one especially because it has such a beautiful spirit and was really cathartic to work on,” adds Brown. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this project.”

Executive produced by Robert Redford, Patti Scialfa Springsteen and USA Olympic Equestrian Silver Medalist Jessica Springsteen, the film tells the story of America’s wild horses from their turbulent history to their uncertain future and impact on our country. The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses soundtrack features an impressive lineup of artists in addition to Brown, including Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris.

Scott Stevens Shares “Come Home To Me” From Upcoming New Album

Scott Stevens has offered fans a preview of his upcoming new album with the release of the project’s lead single, “Come Home To Me,” out now through Verge Records.

The track is, in his own words, “unabashedly a tribute to my better half,” and was written with close friend and co-producer Alex Marshall. The single also pays tribute to Stevens’ love for late ’50s/early ’60s rhythm and blues.

“With everything that’s going on in the world lately, honestly it’s felt a little trivial to me to be making music,” shares Stevens. “But I recently came to peace with the fact that there’s one thing the world needs, regardless of the chaos: that one thing that breaks through everything is love. That’s why this one means the world to me, because [my wife’s] been with me through all of it. Three kids and seven years later, I still just want her to #comehometome.”

Making the project even more of a family affair, Stevens’ oldest son Henry, who is four, designed the artwork for the new single.

“Scott is the real deal,” says Mickey Jack Cones, President and COO of Verge Records, the in-house label arm of global music solutions company ONErpm. “‘Come Home to Me’ will make you a believer in Scott’s integrity as a writer, as well as his ability to deliver a song.”

Bryan has garnered 27 No. 1 hits and has the most RIAA certified digital singles of any country artist with 68.5 million, has 15.6 billion streams worldwide, and has sold nearly 13 million albums. His headline tours have played sold-out shows for 12 million fans, including 36 stadium concerts, Farm Tours, Spring Break shows, and seven sold-out “Crash My Playa” destination concert events.

He has won over 50 major music awards, including five wins as Entertainer of the Year across the CMA and ACM Awards. He has been honored as a CMT Artist of the Year six times, an NSAI Artist/Songwriter of the Year, the first recipient of the ACM Album of the Decade Award for Crash My Party, seven CMT Music Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, and four American Music Awards. “The CMA Awards is one of the biggest nights of the year for country music,” says Bryan. “Being asked to host the CMA Awards was definitely something I put a lot of thought into before answering. The pressure that comes along with that can be overwhelming, but knowing I get to help honor and celebrate so many of my friends, I knew it was something I couldn’t turn down. I mean, growing up in Georgia, I remember watching Vince Gill, Reba, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Rogers, Barbara Mandrell, to name a few. They were so good. And then becoming a part of this amazing country music family and sitting on the front row while Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and Darius Rucker took the reins, all of these artists are heroes and friends, and I am honored to have my name included in this group. I’m looking forward to making it fun and memorable and using this platform to continue to make country music shine.”

“We are so thrilled to have Luke join us as this year’s CMA Awards host,” says Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “His fun and playful energy is something television viewers have welcomed into their homes week after week as a judge on American Idol, and I know he has something exciting up his sleeve for the CMA Awards. We cannot wait to bring music fans a magical night of performances and truly some of the most special moments our show has ever delivered, in just a few weeks.”

Winners of The 55th Annual CMA Awards will be determined in a final round of voting by eligible voting CMA members. The third and final ballot is open now for CMA members, with voting for the CMA Awards final ballot closing Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Performers and presenters for this year’s awards will be revealed in the coming weeks.
