Sugarland Member Sells Out Solo Shows

Kristian Bush, half of country music duo Sugarland, is adding an encore performance after selling out two solo Thanksgiving weekend shows at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA.
“Kristian Bush and Friends” will be two shows (6:30 and 9:30 pm) on Sunday, Nov. 25, with special guests Ellis Paul and Canaan Smith. The newly added show is set for Monday, Nov. 26 with guest singer-songwriter Patrick Davis.
“I’ve been a songwriter my entire life, and Eddie’s is the club where I got my start, so I’m happy to keep on playing for as long as people want to listen,” Bush says.
Bush will make his third appearance on the CMA Songwriter Series when it returns to Nashville Oct. 31 at Marathon Music Works as part of Country Music Month, leading up the annual CMA Awards on Nov. 1. Along with his Sugarland partner Jennifer Nettles, Bush is nominated for CMA Vocal Duo of the Year.
Bush started his career with folk rock duo Billy Pilgrim in the early ’90s. He has garnered five CMA Vocal Duo awards as part of Sugarland, exceeding sales of more than 22 million units with eight No. 1 singles. In 2011, Bush founded the music publishing company Songs of the Architect, recently working with Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale, as well as Canaan Smith, Lauren Alaina, Jaida Dreyer and Alana Springsteen.

Stagecoach 2013 is scheduled for the weekend of April 26-28 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The performance lineup announced for the outdoor country music festival includes Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, Hank Williams Jr., Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, Thompson Square, Dwight Yoakam, Lonestar, Phil Vassar, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many more.
Ronnie Dunn, Big Al Anderson, and The Grascals have joined the musical lineup for the 9th Annual Leadership Music Dale Franklin Awards, which will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17 at War Memorial Auditorium. The event, which includes previously announced artists Rodney Crowell, Little Big Town, David Nail and the Time Jumpers, will pay tribute to Charlie Daniels, Vince Gill, and Randy Owen. Tables are sold out, but a few seats remain available 
RCA Nashville’s Jake Owen has signed with Jensen Arrowsmith’s media relations firm Sweet Talk Publicity for independent PR representation. Owen played sold out stadiums this summer on the Brothers of the Sun Tour, and his current single is “The One That Got Away.” He joins SweetTalk clients Florida Georgia Line and Billy Ray Cyrus.
Buddy Lee Attractions has announced the signing of singer/songwriter Crystal Hoyt to its roster for booking representation. Hoyt was formerly a member of the popular trio Trailer Choir. “I took about four or five months off and did nothing but write,” she says. “I’ve been in the process of redeveloping myself as an artist and a writer.”

Redbox is entering the ticketing market. It is now selling event tickets at select Philadelphia-area kiosks and online, with plans to expand into other markets. The service will roll out to all 650-plus kiosks in the Philly area by mid-October. Regardless of the ticket price, Redbox Tickets™ will be sold at face value or below, with a $1 fee per ticket. This is much less expensive than Ticketmaster fees.

Garth Brooks has announced that his final performance at the Wynn Las Vegas will take place Nov. 17, 2012. The show has been running since December 2009. Remaining performance dates are below.
Chris Young will launch the first leg of his headlining Liquid Neon Tour in November, and the first date will be a sold-out show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. The concert date will mark Young’s first-ever headlining show in Music City.
