Aldean Adds Second Fenway Show; Raises Over $500k For Komen

Jason Aldean has announced a second show at Boston’s Fenway Park, scheduled for Friday July 12, after selling out his first date (7/13) in just seven minutes.

Miranda Lambert, and special guests Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett will perform during both Fenway Shows as part of his 2013 Night Train Tour.

Tickets for the second date go on sale to the general public on Fri., Nov. 2 with pre-sale starting with Aldean’s fan club (Oct. 30), Red Sox season ticket holders (Oct. 31) and through WKLB (Nov. 1).

Over Saturday Oct. 27, Aldean rounded off the final date of his 2012 My Kinda Party Tour in Dallas, TX when he performed his seventh Concert For the Cure to raise money for the Susan G. Komen For the Cure. The event raised $509,125 to help support the fight against breast cancer, with over 20,000 in attendance at the Gexa Energy Pavilion.

Underwood Extends “Blown Away Tour”

Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour has added 40 North American dates beginning Feb. 13 in Colorado Springs, Colo. Following an international run in June, this will bring the tour’s combined total to over 100 shows. Hunter Hayes will continue as special guest.

The donation of $1 from each ticket sold on the North American leg of the outing will support Red Cross disaster relief.

Swift Paints North America “Red”

Taylor Swift announced a North American stadium and arena tour beginning early 2013 in support of her new album, Red, during Katie Couric’s 20/20 ABC special last Friday (10/26).

Swift is currently slated to headline 58 shows (nine of which are stadiums) in 45 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces on The Red Tour in 2013, which kicks off on March 13 in Omaha, Neb. and continues through September.

Singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, who is featured on Red’s duet, “Everything Has Changed,” will be a special guest at every show.

At Swift’s request, every show will include tickets priced under $50. The first tickets will go on sale on November 16th, on sale information is available here.

Aldean Sells Out Fenway Park

Jason Aldean‘s 2013 Night Train Tour stop at Boston’s historic Fenway Park sold out in just seven minutes this morning (10/26). Aldean is the first country artist to headline Fenway, and the July 13, 2013 show will also feature special guests Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett.

“When we started talking about playing stadiums, my only request was to play venues that were special and really meant something to me,” explains Aldean. “At 100 years old, Fenway Park is one of the most iconic baseball stadiums in the country and there is absolutely nothing in the world that could be more special than selling that place out…as an entertainer and as a huge baseball fan. This has been the most unbelievable week…all I can say is THANK YOU.”

Aldean announced the date last Thursday when he jetted across the country and made surprise appearances at Fenway, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium to announce that his 2013 Night Train Tour would stop at each of the three stadiums.

The next stops on the Night Train include Aldean’s annual Concert For the Cure to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure on Oct. 27 and the 2012 Country Music Association Awards on Nov. 1, where he is nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year (for “Dirt Road Anthem”).

Colt Ford Plots Fall Tour

Average Joe’s flagship artist Colt Ford is taking his music out west for a quick fall tour, accompanied by label mate JJ Lawhorn. The Answer To No One Tour, named for the collaboration with Lawhorn on Ford’s new album Declaration of Independence, will play 12 cities beginning Friday, Oct. 26 in Mesa, Arizona.

“I’m really excited to be headed back out West,” says Ford. “I’m bringing my buddy JJ Lawhorn on the road with us. We’ll be visiting a lot of great cities on the tour and can’t wait for it to kick off!”

Paisley Wraps U.S. Tour, Heads Overseas

Brad Paisley’s Virtual Reality World Tour played its final U.S. show Saturday night (10/20) to a sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Bowl. He will follow the U.S. outing, which played to over one million fans, with six international shows next month including dates in Norway and Sweden.

Special guests on the Virtual Reality World Tour were The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery, with Easton Corbin on select dates. Kristen Kelly, Jana Kramer and Love and Theft performed on the “Virtual Opry” stage in “The Escape Plaza” throughout the summer. The Band Perry will continue on for the overseas concerts.

Paisley tours are known for their pranks and the last few shows are usually full of surprises. When the run stopped in San Diego Thursday (10/18) The Band Perry was taken off guard when four of Paisley’s crew guys came on stage dressed as police officers from Comedy Central’s Reno 911!.

The joke was on Paisley when his friend Jack Box, his co-star in the Jack in the Box® commercials, joined him and McCreery on stage during “Celebrity.”

NATD To Honor Six Industry Leaders

The Nashville Association of Talent Directors (NATD) will salute six industry leaders at the 2nd annual NATD Honors gala on Wed., Nov. 14 at the Hermitage Hotel. Honorees include Nashville Predator and NHL Foundation Award recipient Mike Fisher, Morris Management Group President Clint Higham, CAA Nashville Agent John Huie, country music icon George Jones and Nashville Symphony President & CEO Alan Valentine.

Robert S. Williams, President of WBA Entertainment, will receive the Hubert Long Award. Named for the influential industry executive, The Hubert Long Award is presented to individuals who have made a significant and positive contribution to the music industry through artist development.

The 2012 Honorees were chosen by the NATD Board of Directors, led by President Steve Tolman of LogiCom. “Our goal is to recognize the work that these individuals have done to better the community around them. Not only are they leaders in their chosen professions but they believe in continuing and supporting education which is one of our main goals at NATD.”

Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley Announce 2013 Tour

Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley have announced the 2013 Locked & Reloaded Tour set to kick-off January 17.

“Making music for our fans is the best job in the world,” says Miranda. “It’s especially great being able to take to that music on the road with someone I respect as an artist and human being. This will be a tour of ‘epic badassery.’”

“Some of my favorite times on tour over the years were with Miranda and her crew,” said Bentley. “We have a lot in common musically and our fans do too. It’s going to be a killer year.”

Jake Owen and Luke Bryan Score With Successful Tours

Jake Owen’s first headlining outing is a big success. CMT On Tour: Jake Owen: The Summer Never Ends 2012 is in the midst of the most consecutive sold-out shows since the CMT Tour’s inception eleven years ago. Featuring special guests Love and Theft and Florida Georgia Line, the outing kicked off with sold-out shows in New York, NY and Detroit, MI, and is on deck for advance sell-outs in at least six more markets.

Owen’s single “The One That Got Away,” is No. 1 on the MusicRow chart and follows a string of charttoppers including “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “Alone with You.”

His new Endless Summer EP was produced by Joey Moi and released following Owen’s run on the Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw blockbuster Brothers of the Sun Tour.

Luke Bryan's Farm Tour

Luke Bryan wrapped his fourth annual Farm Tour 2012 earlier this month, performing for 100,000 fans during the eight-city run. That is more than double the attendance of last year’s Farm Tour. The outing visited Georgia Southern University, Clemson University, Auburn University, Valdosta State University, University of West Georgia, University of Georgia, Florida State University and Mercer University. Joining him were Peach Pickers Dallas Davidson and Rhett Akins, as well as singer/songwriters Chancie Neal and Cole Swindell.

The tour of outdoor shows celebrates American farmers and proceeds go to scholarships for students from farming families at each college.

Jamey Johnson Announces “Living For A Song Tour”

Jamey Johnson has announced his upcoming Living For A Song Tour, which will run from November 8 to December 31.

The tour will support Johnson’s latest album Living For a Song, a tribute to songwriting legend Hank Cochran, which was released on Oct. 16. Johnson played a sold-out show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on release day.

Chris Hennessee and Wayne Mills will accompany Johnson on select dates throughout the tour. A full list of dates, with more to be released, appears below.
