Anna Kathryn Groom Promoted At Wasserman Music

Nashville-based Anna Kathryn Groom has been promoted to Manager, Brand Partnerships at Wasserman Music. Groom began her time at the company via Paradigm Talent Agency in 2019. In her new role, she will foster brand partnerships for Wasserman’s country, Americana and adult contemporary clients.

Jack Daniels Master Distiller Chris Fletcher and Mike Galvin, and Greg Luehrs of Brown-Forman, presented rising artist Redferrin with his welcome letter, membership card and land “deed” as the newest member of The Tennessee Squire Association at the Warner Music Nashville office.

Warner Music Nashville’s Co-Chair & Co-President, Ben Kline also led a toast to Redferrin’s success with his own Single Barrel selection of Jack Daniels.

CMHOFM Opens New Student Art Exhibition

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has opened their new exhibition “Sources of Me.” The exhibition, located in the Taylor Swift Education Center, features artwork of students across metro Nashville public schools. The works were inspired by Thomas Hart Benton’s final painting “The Sources of Country Music,” which hangs in the museum’s Hall of Fame Rotunda and depicts the musical and cultural roots of country music.

For their pieces, students combined their stories with Benton’s vision by focusing on his use of imagery, color and ideals. Inspired by a mix of cultural and personal influences including music, community and family, the exhibit represents a diverse range of perspectives rooted in individual life experiences. Topics explored in the artwork include music-related topics such as disco, hip-hop and jazz, explorations around interracial marriages, the struggles of being a teenager and transgender activism.

The 2024 CMT Music Awards have revealed the top six finalists for the Video of the Year category.

Ashley McBryde (“Light On In The Kitchen”), Cody Johnson (“The Painter”), Hardy (“Truck Bed”), Jelly Roll (“Need A Favor”), Kelsea Ballerini (“If You Go Down (I’m Going Down Too)”) and Lainey Wilson (“Watermelon Moonshine”) are this year’s finalists. All six are competing for their first Video of the Year honor.

Determined by fan voting, the top three nominees for Video of the Year will be announced the morning of April 7, with voting continuing through the live show, leading up to the reveal of the night’s biggest award. Hosted by Ballerini, the awards will air live on CBS and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.

BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville has hired Camille Kenny as Senior Director, A&R.

Reporting to VP, A&R, Katie Kerkhover, Kenny will be responsible for scouting and developing recording artists, as well as guiding and championing the label group’s roster.

Kenny joins BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville after having recently served as the Senior Director of A&R at Big Loud Records. There she discovered, signed and guided talent for the label and its imprints, A&R’ing key releases for Morgan Wallen, Hardy, Chris Lane, Jake Owen and MacKenzie Porter. Kenny’s prior experience also includes time at both THiS Music and WME.

“I have always admired Camille’s love of songs and her ability to see greatness in artists,” says Kerkhover “Her passion to bring their vision to life with the best songs and a unique approach, is second to none. She always has her ear to the ground and is on the front lines in scouting new talent.
