Miranda Lambert will headline a special opening night performance at Nashville’s newest live music venue, The Truth, on Oct. 1.

The 4,400-capacity venue will welcome Lambert as its inaugural artist for a one-night-only show featuring a 12-piece string section as she celebrates the upcoming release of her new album Crisco, arriving Oct. 2 via MCA. Lambert will perform a full set featuring her catalog of hits alongside a preview of select tracks from the new album during the special show.

“It was magical to hear the way strings can transform a song when we were in the studio creating this record, and I can’t wait to bring that to life in an even bigger way with our full setlist,” says Lambert. “We’ve never gotten to play that way on stage, and to have the opportunity to do it for the first time at the opening of a beautiful new venue right here in Nashville is going to be really special.”

Tickets for “Miranda Lambert: One Night Only” go on sale to the general public this Friday (Aug. 21) at 10 a.m. CT.

The opening-night performance comes as Lambert enters a new creative era with Crisco, a joyful collection inspired in part by the long-overlooked connection between country’s dance hall tradition and the disco vibe. Early previews of the project include “Sunset Marquis,” a dreamy, California-soaked song, the previously released title track, “Till The Going’s Gone” and the Grammy-nominated duet “A Song To Sing” with Chris Stapleton.

Maren Morris’ Ryman Show Benefits East Nashville Care Market

Maren Morris took the stage at the Ryman Auditorium over the weekend for a special hometown show benefiting East Nashville Care Market. Through a partnership with Plus1, $1 from every ticket sold for the Ryman show was donated directly to East Nashville Care Market, supporting the organization’s ongoing work to provide food, clothing, sanitation products, toys, books and other essentials to people in need across East Nashville. Volunteers also collected donations and Morris launched specialized merchandise to benefit the organization.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude tonight for Maren and her incredible team, and for every single person who walked through the doors of the Ryman and chose to give, whether that was a ticket, a donation, an hour of their time, or a few dollars at the merch booth,” says ENCM Board Vice President Amanda Lutz. “East Nashville Care Market has always been something special because it belongs to this community. We are neighbors serving neighbors, and that means the person handing you a bag of groceries or a warm coat might be your coworker, your child’s teacher, or the family down the street. CMHOFM Hosts Songwriter Session With Carter Faith

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum recently hosted a songwriter session with Carter Faith in the museum’s Ford Theater.

This program is presented in support of the exhibition American Currents: State of the Music, which currently features Faith. Open through January 2027, the annual exhibit takes a broad view of the genre over the past year to explore musical developments, artist achievements and notable events, as determined by the museum’s curators and editorial staff.

 

CMA Hosts Zach John King At Nashville HQ

The Country Music Association recently hosted Zach John King at its Nashville HQ.

The Q&A explored King’s Georgia roots and the family and upbringing that inspired his debut album, I’m What You Get, set to be released Aug. 28, along with a look back at his recent performance on the Platform Stage at CMA Fest inside Nissan Stadium. King then performed three songs from the upcoming album, “How To Not,” “I’m What You Get” and “Get To Drinkin’.”

 

Josh Turner Earns New RIAA Certifications

Josh Turner’s “Your Man” has just been certified 5-times Platinum by the RIAA for sales of more than five million units. Additionally, “Would You Go With Me” is 4-times Platinum and “Me and God” has been certified Gold. The new certifications arrive as Turner marks the 20th anniversary of Your Man with a suite of expanded anniversary editions, out now via MCA/UMe.

“As my sophomore album, Your Man, celebrates its 20th anniversary, I’m moved at how it has continued to gain new fans,” says Turner. “I still play all three singles from that record because you fans won’t let me out of any venue until I do!! The Other Nashville Society (TONS) & Duetti Host Panel

The Other Nashville Society (TONS) and Duetti, the music company that partners with independent artists and songwriters to buy, manage and market their catalogs, hosted a “TONS Talk” on Aug. 13 at Ampersand Studios on Music Row.

Titled “Leveraging Your Catalog as an Independent Artist,” the hour-long conversation drew a capacity room of TONS members. Moderated by Tate Henshaw, Co-Founder of ARC, the panel featured Nashville artist Jessie Villa; entertainment attorney Austin Wells of Hunter Cottingham PLLC; and Duetti’s Alex Cepero, Artist Programs Lead, and Nina Musolino, A&R.

Kentucky-born singer-songwriter Hunter Flynn has announced his upcoming “Back to My Roots Tour,” kicking off Oct. 1 in Newport, Kentucky.

The 36-show tour celebrating his Appalachian heritage and the stories, people, and places that have shaped Flynn’s music will visit Lexington, Asheville, Buffalo, St. Louis, Memphis, and many more, with a Nashville stop Dec. 10 at Skinny Dennis.

Tickets to the “Back to My Roots” Tour will be available via presale beginning tomorrow (Aug. 18) with general on-sale beginning on Aug, 19.

The “Back to My Roots Tour” takes its name from Flynn’s deep connection to Appalachian culture and his commitment to telling stories rooted in the region he calls home. Raised in Pulaski County, Kentucky, Flynn has built his career around emotional honesty, vulnerability, and a sound he dubs Appalachian Soul Music. The new tour follows a period of continued growth for Flynn, whose work has taken him to venues and festivals throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Echo House Collective has launched, adding Emma Kiefer as Senior Director of A&R.

Co-founders, Jet Harvey and Krysten Harvey will invest in Kiefer to lead development of A&R, publishing, signing, roster management and more.

Kiefer moved to Nashville in 2020 and has previously held positions with Dave Cobb, Twelve6, Boom Music Group, and Group Projects Publishing, landing cuts for her writers with artists such as Morgan Wallen, Bailey Zimmerman, Megan Moroney, Tucker Wetmore, Carrie Underwood, Ben Fuller, Ernest, Luke Bryan, Corey Kent, Josh Ross, Tyler Braden, Chase Matthew and more.
