Maren Morris’ Ryman Show Benefits East Nashville Care Market
Maren Morris took the stage at the Ryman Auditorium over the weekend for a special hometown show benefiting East Nashville Care Market. Through a partnership with Plus1, $1 from every ticket sold for the Ryman show was donated directly to East Nashville Care Market, supporting the organization’s ongoing work to provide food, clothing, sanitation products, toys, books and other essentials to people in need across East Nashville. Volunteers also collected donations and Morris launched specialized merchandise to benefit the organization.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude tonight for Maren and her incredible team, and for every single person who walked through the doors of the Ryman and chose to give, whether that was a ticket, a donation, an hour of their time, or a few dollars at the merch booth,” says ENCM Board Vice President Amanda Lutz. “East Nashville Care Market has always been something special because it belongs to this community. We are neighbors serving neighbors, and that means the person handing you a bag of groceries or a warm coat might be your coworker, your child’s teacher, or the family down the street. That’s what makes this place feel safe. There is no judgment here, only care. Nights like this remind us that when Nashville shows up for its own, there is nothing we can’t do together.”
“I love this organization, and even had the opportunity to spend some time helping bag groceries with their team earlier this year,” shares Morris. “It means so much to me that we can come together to celebrate 10 years of my debut record while also giving back to the city that has played such a huge role in shaping me and my music.”
