Warner/Chappell Music & Buckeye 26 have signed a worldwide publishing agreement with singer/songwriter Jordan Reynolds. Reynolds was a recent winner of the SongTown USA songwriting contest for his song “Love is Like Rain,” co-written with Robyn Collins.

They were also less likely to have used YouTube within the previous week to watch music videos or listen to music.
Released in early March 2014 in conjunction with Triton Digital, “The Infinite Dial” surveyed a nationally representative sample of 2,023 respondents aged 12 and older via telephone. The Country breakouts were based on 146 listeners age 12 and older who named a Country outlet as their P1 station.

Brad Paisley’s Country Nation World Tour presented by KRAFT Cheese made an extra performance in Chicago recently. After playing to a full house at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre he invited his tour mates to join him for an impromptu “Hangafter” concert at Joe’s Bar. Randy Houser, Leah Turner, Charlie Worsham and Dee Jay Silver joined Paisley on stage at 1 a.m. for more than two hours of playing cover tunes and taking turns on vocals and guitar solos.

Nashville Public Radio has purchased WFCL Classical 91.1 FM, formerly Vanderbilt’s student-run station WRVU. Vanderbilt Student Communications received $3.35 million in the deal that was announced three years ago. Nashville Public Radio now broadcasts news on 90.3, and classical music on 91.1.

NMPA, Sony Music Reach Video Licensing Deal
/by Jessica Nicholson“Music videos are an essential piece of the growing digital marketplace, and an important source of revenue for songwriters and their music publishing partners,” said David Israelite, NMPA President and CEO. “Songwriters are key to every music video and this agreement recognizes their important contribution.”
Additionally, songwriters and publishers who opt-in to the agreement may receive retroactive payments for past use of music works in Sony Music Entertainment music videos dating back to Jan. 1, 2009. The agreement will also cover lyric videos as that market increases.

SOURCE will celebrate the careers of eight special women at the 2014 SOURCE Awards, to be held at Nashville’s Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum at the Historic Municipal Auditorium Sept. 23, 2014.
The SOURCE Awards honorees for 2014 are Areeda Schneider-Stampley (CBS Records), Audrey Winters (Music City News), Betty Clark (Talent & Model Land Agency), Dometra (Dee) Bowers (SAG-AFTRA), Katie Gillon (Wrinkled Records), Kitty Moon Emery (The Global Action Platform), Mary Ann McCready (Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy), and a posthumous award to Patsi Bale Cox (New York Times best-selling author and journalist).
Members of SOURCE hosted a luncheon at ASCAP on May 22 to celebrate this year’s honorees.

Streamsound Names Bonadies VP/Promotion & Strategic Marketing

Other changes at Streamsound included President Mike Culotta exiting after almost 14 months on the job. He spent more than 18 years at WQYK/Tampa and rose to OM/PD.
Launched in 2012, Streamsound Records is an independent country record label based in Brentwood, Tenn., and distributed by ATO Records and is home to Jaida Dryer, Austin Webb, Dakota Bradley and Kristian Bush.
Music Row Vets To Open Restaurant This Month
/by Sarah SkatesAcme Feed & Seed, the restaurant/bar helmed by partner proprietors Alan Jackson, Steve Moore, George Boedecker and Nancy Russell, is on track to open this month. Celebrated caterer/restauranteur Tom Morales is supervising development of the establishment at 101 Broadway.
Each floor of the three-story building will have a different atmosphere.
The first floor, an updated take on the classic honky-tonk, will offer internationally-inspired street-food such as hot chicken sandwiches, Mexican street corn and Thai shrimp fried rice, all designed by executive chef Matt Farley (The Southern Steak & Oyster, Loveless Café, Noho Star). At night it will transform into a “funky-tonk” grooving to all different genres.
The second floor will be a lounge offering handcrafted cocktails, dishes designed to share, and vintage games.
The third floor will be home to an event and music venue called The Hatchery at Acme. There will also be a rooftop bar.
The building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, was called the Acme Feed & Hatchery.
Readers will likely recall the proprietors’ other roles: Moore was most recently the CEO of CMA and Russell was Jackson’s longtime manager.
Nashville Memorial Service Set For Gary Haber

A Nashville memorial celebrating the life of business manager and accountant Gary Haber has been set for Tuesday June 10, at Loveless Barn, located at 8400 Highway, Nashville, TN 37221 from 6 to 9 p.m. Haber died April 7, 2014 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. He was 68.
His superstar client list has included Carrie Underwood, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Julianne Hough, Peter Frampton, Joe Cocker, screenwriter Les Bohem, and numerous others. The Haber Corporation was established in Encino, Calif., in 1977.
His Nashville branch was opened in 1990. Haber was an active member of the music industry on both coasts. The company expanded again in 2000 to better respond to the global market by joining forces with Mark Robertson to open Loire Valley-based Haber & Robertson International, LLC.
He served on the boards of directors for Alliance of Artists and Recording Companies, ACM, and ACM Lifting Lives, where he was a past president. An advocate for uniting the worlds of music, film and TV across the country, he was a founder and president of the Nashville Screenwriters Conference.
