Crocs Partners With Luke Combs For CMA Fest Crocs

Crocs has revealed a collaboration with Luke Combs for a special edition Croc shoe with unique Combs-themed Jibbitz™ charms that depict a license plate that says ‘BT LGR’ named after Combs’ fan club, a Combs guitar pick, a North Carolina sign, Combs’ face with his signature hat and red beard, and more. The Luke Combs Crocs will be sold exclusively during CMA Fest on June 6 – 9 in Nashville.

This collaboration is not the first time Crocs has partnered with a musical artist. The brand released a Croc collaboration with hip-hop artist Post Malone, as well as a KISS collection.

Lewis Brice, Tin Roof Team Up For Lewispalooza 9

Lewis Brice and Tin Roof are teaming up again for their annual kick-off to CMA Fest, Lewispalooza 9, on June 4 outside of Tin Roof Demonbreun. The concert, headlined by Lewis, will feature performances by Lee Brice, John Wesley Satterfield, Stevie Monce, Jerrod Niemann, Paul McDonald, Curt Chambers, John Gurney and more special guests.

The all-ages event is free with a suggested donation at the door. All proceeds benefit Hope Song, a non-profit that helps the fight against cancer through the healing power of music. The VIP Experience includes side stage access, free food (provided by The Stillery), VIP bar access, private restrooms, meet & greet of select artists and access to Tito’s Airsteam Lounge. Charlie Daniels’ The Journey Home Project Donates $25,000 To The Shepherd’s Men

Country legend Charlie Daniels‘ veterans non-profit The Journey Home Project (TJHP) recently held a special reception for The Shepherd’s Men as the team of men journeyed through Nashville during a stop on its annual Shepherd’s Run. The week-long, seven-city run raises awareness for troops with traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder.

During the reception held at The Palm Restaurant in Nashville, Tenn. TJHP presented The Shepherd’s Men with a $25,000 check to help assist the organization with their efforts in aiding our nation’s military veterans.

“The Shepherd’s Men are relentless in their efforts to end the tragic pattern of suicide with our returning veterans,” says TJHP co-founder David Corlew. “The Journey Home Project is committed to this issue and believe we have the best possible partnership we could have to try and save precious lives, one at a time. God Bless The Shepherd’s Men and the SHARE Military Initiative and the work they continue to do.”

“Veteran suicide is something that should have been dealt with long ago by bringing awareness to the problem,” adds Daniels. “We hope to put pressure on the government to really get involved and to make sure that mainstream America is aware of this horrible tragedy.”

Derek Austin has signed a worldwide co-publishing deal with JRM Publishing and Round Hill Music Nashville.

Austin grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota and learned to play guitar and started writing his own songs during college in Washington. After college, he spent time in Alaska as an Air Traffic Controller before ultimately making the move to Nashville to pursue his real passion, music. He is currently writing songs for his first album.

“Derek has already hit the ground running writing some amazing songs and I can’t wait for the world to hear them. He has an authentic and powerful voice and a story to tell. We are incredibly lucky to be working with him,” says Jimmy Robbins.

Warner Chappell Music has acquired the four publishing companies comprising the Gene Autry Music Group. Together, these catalogues contain more than 1,500 songs, including classics such as Autry’s signature song, “Back In The Saddle Again,” and the holiday favorite, “Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane),” as well as “Just Walkin’ In The Rain” and “You Belong To Me.” In addition, Warner Chappell Music will be administering many of the Autry estate’s master recordings to facilitate one-stop synchronization licensing.

“Gene Autry is an icon in American culture and a pioneer in the evolution of both country and pop music,” said Warner Chappell Music Co-Chair & CEO, Guy Moot, and Co-Chair & COO, Carianne Marshall. “He was not only an incredibly gifted and prolific songwriter, but he assembled an extraordinary publishing catalogue filled with timeless classics and undiscovered gems. Autry’s 70-year career encompassed work in radio, film, television, and live performances, including rodeo. He recorded over 640 songs, including more than 300 which he wrote or co-wrote, selling more than 100 million records. Autry has been honored by both the Country Music Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Autry also starred in 93 feature films and 91 television episodes of The Gene Autry Show. His popular Melody Ranch weekly radio show ran for 16 years. As Chairman of the Board of a broadcasting and business empire, he owned a string of radio and television stations across the country, along with hotels and other business interests. He was the original and long-time owner of the California Angels Major League Baseball team. In 1988, he founded the Autry Museum of the American West, located in Griffith Park, Los Angeles.

“The Gene Autry Music Group has a long association with Warner Chappell Music,” said Autry’s widow, Jackie Autry. “I’m delighted that Gene’s songs and music catalogues have found a good home with them. I know the music will be treasured and respected for years to come.”
