Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, hosted the “Groceries with Dignity & Comedy Without” benefit for The Store last night (April 20) at Zanies in Nashville.

This year’s sold-out event presented by sponsor Prevost featured comedians Jeff Allen, Bo Johnson and Eeland Stribling, and raised more than $300,000 for the free-referral-based grocery store that aims to empower low-income individuals and families in the Nashville area founded by the Paisleys.

Including this year, the total raised at the annual event over the past four years is now more than $800,000. Featured comedians at previous benefits have included Nate Bargatze, John Crist, Henry Cho, Bonnie Hunt, Kevin Nealon, Dusty Slay, The Groundlings and Aaron Webber, with comedic music performances by Brad, who also emceed the evenings.

The Store operates with the mission of allowing people to shop for their basic needs in a way that protects dignity and fosters hope. In January, a second location of The Store was opened on the campus of TriStar Centennial Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare.

Shaboozey Unveils New Album Due In July

Shaboozey will release his fourth album, The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales, on July 31 via American Dogwood/EMPIRE.

“Born To Die,” the first track from the project, will be available on Friday (April 24). In celebration of the release, Shaboozey is set to perform at the TODAY Plaza in New York City.

The concept record explores a cinematic outlaw revenge story and will feature high-profile collaborations across genres.

Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going was a journal entry and an opportunity for the world to get to know more about me as a person,” Shaboozey shares. “That album changed my life. I never expected people to connect with the album and enjoy it the way they did. But now I want to show the world who I am as an artist and storyteller. The Outlaw Cherie Lee is a project that’s been several years in the making and has gone through many iterations. It’s a western about revenge told continuously through every song, centered on the character Cherie Lee. It explores so many themes, as many timeless westerns have: revenge, redemption, and romance, through the eyes of a protagonist looking to challenge everything she once thought true about her world. I poured all of myself into this and I hope people become as immersed in the world and the journey as I have. This album was a promise to myself and something, no matter what, I had to keep. It pushed my songwriting and storytelling to new heights, and I couldn’t be more proud to say it’s done and almost yours.”

To celebrate the album, Shaboozey will host a pop-up activation with exclusive previews and appearances this weekend during Stagecoach.

Award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Tina Parol has signed with Curb | Word Music Publishing.

Originally from New Jersey, Parol began songwriting after being diagnosed with scoliosis at eight years old. When she was 16, she signed her first publishing deal, before studying at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. While in school, she signed a record deal with Universal Motown. At 21, Parol earned a top 40 Billboard pop hit with “Who’s Got Your Money.”

Parol came to Music City in 2012 after some time in Los Angeles, and has since earned cuts with Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady A, Tenille Townes, Dallas Smith, Jerrod Niemann, Vince Gill and more. She is a back-to-back Canadian Country Music Association Songwriter of the Year award winner, and has had her tunes places in over 250 film, TV, and major ad campaigns. Her own “Live Your Story” was the official theme for Disney’s Dream Big Princess campaign and is performed globally at Disney On Ice shows. Parol was also inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame last year.

“From the first writing session I booked with Tina, it was apparent that she had a special combination of talent, drive, and dependability,” says Curb Records Sr. Director, Publishing/A&R, Trevor Mathiesen. “She has delivered with each artist I’ve put her with and can connect with writers and artists on a personal level as well as musical. Her faith and testimony are powerful and serve as a limitless source of inspiration for her song writing. We are genuinely excited and honored to partner with Tina during this season of her already impressive career.”

“Writing songs is such a blessing. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with the fantastic team at Curb | Word for this next chapter of my career.” adds Parol. “Being able to write songs about my faith is a dream come true. I look forward to all that is in store for us!”

In February 2022, she went through a 10-hour, 14-level spinal fusion surgery to correct her severe scoliosis, followed by complications that collapsed her lungs and required three weeks in ICU. She learned to walk, breathe and sing again while relying on her faith in Jesus. Since then, she has earned Christian cuts with Hannah Kerr, Micah Kuiper, Tedd T, Bobby Strand, Natalie Layne and Benji Cowart among others.

Riley Green kicked off his 2026 “Cowboy As It Gets Tour” last week, wrapping the first weekend with a sold-out show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night (April 18).

Before Green took the stage, Mackenzie Carpenter, Drake White and Justin Moore set the tone for the night.

The lights dimmed down as Green made his entrance with “Different Round Here” before launching into the unapologetic “Damn Good Day To Leave” and reflective “If It Wasn’t For Trucks.”

Unveiling his first surprise of the night, Green called Jamey Johnson to the stage. The pair moved into “Where Corn Don’t Grow” and “In Color.”

“Watching him do what he has done all these years and stay true to himself – I’ve looked up to him so much. I’m so glad to be friends with him, and even more so that we’ve gotten here tonight,” Green shared about Johnson, a fellow Alabama native.

After “Georgia Time,” Green brought White back to the stage for a duet on “Hell Of A Way To Go.” He moved through “Rather Be” and “When She Comes Home Tonight.”

With another surprise up his sleeve, Green brought Carly Pearce to stage for a rendition of their recent release, “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay.”

As the night progressed, he continued with “Make It Rain” and “Change My Mind.” The crowd roared as Green broke into covers of Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” and “Courtesy Of The Red White And Blue.”

“I’ve gotten to play a lot of great shows over the years, but I have to tell y’all, this means a lot. Thank y’all so much for a sold-out show at Bridgestone Arena. One thing I’ve never gotten tired of is playing country music for folks who love country music,” he shared.

Green made his way to the B-Stage for a stripped-back moment that included “Jesus Saves,” “My Way” and a duet with Carpenter on “Don’t Mind If I Do.”

Back on the main stage, Green quickly picked the energy back with fan-favorites “There Was This Girl,” “You Look Like You Love Me” and “Worst Way.”

After a short break, he returned for an encore of the fan-favorite “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” and brought the openers out again for a crowd-singalong of “Dixieland Delight” to wrap the night.

Green is set to appear this weekend at Stagecoach before continuing the “Cowboy As It Gets Tour” on May 7 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
