Shane McAnally Announces ‘Hits & Giggles Tour,’ Is Recognized By New York Times
Renowned songwriter and industry exec Shane McAnally is launching his new “Hits & Giggles Tour,” a full nationwide run of his acclaimed stand-up comedy show.
The tour is just the latest triumph for the multi-talented writer, who co-wrote the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Shucked, starred on NBC’s Songland, and founded SMACKSongs, with a roster of writers credited with nearly 80 Top 10 country radio hits. The “Hits & Giggles Tour” kicks off June 3 in Nashville, and will include stops in New York, Annapolis, Fort Worth, Richmond and more through Aug. 2. Tickets are available here.
McAnally was also recently honored as one of the New York Times’ “30 Greatest Living American Songwriters,” representing Music Row along with collaborators Josh Osborne and Brandy Clark. He appears on the list alongside luminaries like Taylor Swift, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Kendrick Lamar and Carole King.
The hitmaker continues to rack up honors and dominate the charts. Kacey Musgraves‘ latest single “Dry Spell,” co-written by McAnally, has surpassed 16 million streams and hit the Top 15 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart ahead of her album Middle of Nowhere, which was just released. The track is the latest in McAnally’s catalog, which spans over 50 No. 1 songs penned for artists including Sam Hunt, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, and Musgraves.
