Brett Young To Launch Headlining ‘2.0 Tour’ In January

Brett Young will kick off his new 2026 “2.0 Tour” on Jan. 22 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Singer-songwriter Jenna Davis will support him on the new dates.

The 18-date headlining tour will include stops in Boston, Bowling Green, Syracuse and more through Feb. 28. Ticket pre-sale begins Nov. 19, followed by the public on-sale on Nov. 21, and VIP packages will also be available starting Nov. 19 which include a ticket, meet & greet, photo with Brett, exclusive merchandise, early venue access and more at brettyoung.com/tour.

“After an incredible trip across the pond and feeling the amazing momentum behind my new album 2.0, I’m beyond excited to hit the road next year,” says Young. “It feels like something special is happening and I want y’all to be a part of it.”

The new tour takes its name from Young’s album 2.0, out now via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment. Co-written entirely by Young, the 11-track project features collaborations with Lady A, a reimagined version of his career-defining hit “In Case You Didn’t Know” with Hannah McFarland, and his current chart-climbing single “Drink With You.”

ASCAP Honors Top Songwriters & Publishers At 2025 Nashville Celebration

ASCAP celebrated the songwriters and publishers behind country and Christian music’s most-performed songs of the past year at the 2025 ASCAP Nashville Songwriters Celebration last night (Nov. 17).

Held once again at The Twelve Thirty Club, invited guests mingled under warm, ambient lighting while sipping cocktails and enjoying an abundant spread that included a sushi bar, chicken cutlets, prime rib, hummus and crudité, onion dip, house-made kettle chips and more.

When the ceremony began, ASCAP Vice President of Nashville Membership Mike Sistad took the podium. He recognized Emmylou Harris and Brad Paisley on their inductions into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, along with Ashley Gorley, who joined the Songwriters Hall of Fame this year.

Sistad then welcomed ASCAP CEO Elizabeth Matthews, who reflected on the strength of the Nashville community and acknowledged three tremendous losses for ASCAP and the songwriting world: John Titta, Ben Vaughn and Brett James.

From there, awards were presented throughout the evening by Sistad, Matthews, ASCAP Chairman of the Board and President Paul Williams and EVP and Head of Creative Membership Nicole George-Middleton.

Shaboozey was named ASCAP Country Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year. At the podium, he spoke about overcoming self-doubt and the gift of songwriting, sharing, “I learned very early on it was a gift to be able to write a song. Thank God for that gift… It took a lot of people to gain my confidence as a songwriter,” before thanking his team and collaborators.

Sony Music Publishing earned ASCAP Country Music Publisher of the Year. The company’s Nashville CEO, Rusty Gaston, recognized his team and the Sony songwriters who made an impact this year.

“This has been a remarkably tragic year for our community, but what we’re all reminded of is the power of songs,” Gaston said. “The songs you wrote every day this year helped all of us get through this.”

ASCAP Country Music Songwriter of the Year winner Ashley Gorley notched his record-extending 12th win—more than any other songwriter across any genre. He thanked God, his family, friends and teams before reading a list of all the first-time ASCAP winners of the evening, noting that his own first win made him feel like a legitimate professional songwriter.

This year’s celebration also spotlighted the most-performed Christian music songs of the past year and recognized the previously announced winners. Essential Music Publishing was named Christian Publisher of the Year, while Brandon Lake and Pat Barrett earned ASCAP Christian Song of the Year honors for “Praise.” Lake also took home his second ASCAP Christian Songwriter of the Year award.

“My biggest dream came true years and years ago—God has been so kind—this is just the overflow,” Lake shared. “We’re heading into 2026 with the collision of Christian and country music on my mind.”

For the last big honor of the evening, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was awarded ASCAP Country Music Song of the Year. Co-written by Sean Cook, Jerrell “J-Kwon” Jones, Joe Capo Kent and Mark “Tarboy” Williams, the hit topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks, tying the record for the longest-running No. 1 song ever.

Combustion Music Reveals Lineup For 13th Annual Hope Town Music Festival

Combustion Music has announced the lineup for its 13th Annual Hope Town Music Festival, returning to Elbow Cay in Abaco, Bahamas Dec, 5-7.

This year’s bill includes Combustion Founder/President Chris Farren, Ashley Gorley, Chris DeStefano, Charles Esten, Ryan Hurd, Kendall Marvel, Morgan Evans, Laci Kaye Booth, Rivers Rutherford, Blake Bollinger, Austin Goodloe, Nicholas Sainato, Payton Smith, Jessica Farren, AJ Pruis and Sam Bergeson.

Last year’s Hope Town Music Festival raised over $400,000 benefitting three local organizations in Elbow Cay: Hope Town Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Friends of the Environment and Every Child Counts.

“It was my goal to introduce many of my songwriter friends to this special island that my family and I have grown to love over the past 20 years, and to introduce Hope Town and its residents to the incredible musical talent of these writers, and finally and most importantly, to raise a bunch of money for some very worthy charities,” says Combustion Music founder and President Chris Farren about the inspiration for the annual event.

FBMM’s Betty Sanders To Retire

Betty Sanders, FBMM’s Chief People Officer and first-ever employee, will retire at the end of the year.

Sanders initially joined Chuck Flood & Associates in 1986 (started by the late FBMM co-founder Chuck Flood) before transitioning to FBMM when it was established in 1990. She has held numerous positions and risen through the ranks over the years, from Receptionist to Office Manager to Vice President/General Manager, before stepping into her role as Chief People Officer.

“Betty has often been called the ‘heart and soul’ of FBMM, and it’s so true,” says Julie Boos, Owner and Chairman. “FBMM has been shaped by her kindness, dedication and the way she has always cared so deeply for both our people and our company. Words can’t adequately express the impact she’s had over the last four decades on our company and the people we are today.”

Prior to joining FBMM, Sanders worked in music publishing and publicity, handling everything from accompanying clients on promotional tours to filing song copyrights and more. She also spent time at Pride Music Group and as a production assistant for a record producer in a joint venture with Warner Bros. Music.

Sanders was inducted into the SOURCE Hall of Fame in 2022 for her contributions to the music industry.

“From the early days working out of Chuck Flood’s home to watching FBMM and its people grow over the years, I’m thankful to have had a front-row seat to that growth, energy and the brilliant people I’ve supported over the last 40 years,” shares Sanders. “From helping coach teams through challenges to aligning staff resources with our growing client base, I have enjoyed every minute of it. Now I’m looking forward to spending more time with my family and embarking on a brand-new chapter.”

FBMM has hired Tiffany Coursey as the firm’s Senior Vice President of HR. With more than 25 years of experience, Coursey will oversee all HR functions and play a critical role in defining and driving employee-focused initiatives across FBMM’s offices in Nashville, New York and Los Angeles.

NSAI Celebrates Nashville-Associated Chart-Toppers At Annual World’s Largest No. 1 Party

Nashville Songwriters Association International held its annual World’s Largest No. 1 Party celebration yesterday (Nov. 17) for Nashville-associated songs and their writers who topped the charts during the past 18 months.

Presented by Bank of America Private Bank and the Mechanical Licensing Collective, the event was held in the recently opened Odie’s in the heart of Music Row. This year, NSAI shifted the timing of its annual World’s Largest No. 1 Party from the springtime to the fall, expanding upon the industry’s awards week. During the designated period, 107 songs with a Nashville-associated songwriter topped the charts, with 277 songwriters earning an award. From numerous songwriters who were celebrating their coveted first No. 1, to veteran writers adding to their No. 1 collection, the room was filled with elation for the achievements, once again showcasing the cherished closeness that makes the professional songwriting community unique.

“We’re honored to join NSAI in celebrating the songwriters who wrote some of the most popular and successful music released this year, and proud to help ensure creators everywhere receive the mechanical royalties they’re owed – with more than $3 billion in total royalties distributed to date,” says The MLC.

JUST IN: Nashville’s KBFM Joins Citrin Cooperman

Red Bull Jukebox Hosts 2nd Annual Nashville Event

Red Bull Jukebox returned to Nashville on Saturday night (Nov. 15) at The Pinnacle for its second annual event. The event included a live voting feature that let attendees pick part of the setlist in real time. Ward Guenther of Whiskey Jam and Morgan Huelsman of iHeartRadio served as the evening’s hosts, and Miles McPherson and the Red Bull Jukebox House Band backed each performer.

Carter Faith kicked off the evening with recently released “Bar Star,” before “Crying Over U,” featuring a surprise appearance from Medium Build. Faith then closed out her set with “Grudge” and “Sex, Drugs, & Country Music.” Kashus Culpepper then graced the stage with “Pour Me Out” and “Man Of His Word,” before a cover of  “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” with special guest Maggie Rose. He closed out his set with “Out of My Mind” performed with a drumline representing Alabama HBCU Talladega College.

Ashley Cooke was up next with “the hell you are,” “it’s been a year,” and a cover of Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated.” Colbie Caillat and DJ MOONLGHT both joined Cooke during her set. Treaty Oak Revival then rocked the venue with “Missed Call” and blink-182’s “All The Small Things.” The band ended the night with “Super Boomtown,” bringing out Kimberly Perry, Faith, Gideon and Josee Klein during the set.

The second annual Red Bull Jukebox competition also crowned its winner during the event. Attendees voted for Jackson Cannon to take home this year’s title with his original tune “Never Been To Heaven.”

Dolly Parton Teams With Tennessean Travel Stop To Re-Brand Locations

Dolly Parton has partnered with the Tennessean Travel Stop team to rebrand and revitalize its flagship Cornersville, Tennessee location by early Summer 2026 as Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop.

The first rebranded location will serve as the flagship for future sites planned under the Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stops banner, with additional locations across Tennessee and beyond to be announced in 2026.

Josh Miller Enters Top 10 On MusicRow Top Songwriter Chart

Hudson Westbrook Announces New EP ‘Exclusive’

Hudson Westbrook is kicking off the New Year with the release of his new EP, Exclusive, on Jan. 23.

The fast-rising Texas star has offered fans a taste of the new EP with “If He Wanted To,” out now. Penned by Westbrook, Lukas Scott, Beau Bailey and Neil Medley, “If He Wanted To” will be featured on Exclusive alongside recently released fan favorite “Pretty Privilege” and never before heard tracks like “Exclusive,” “LMWYL” and “Lovin’ On Me.”

Westbrook’s top 15-and-rising debut single “House Again” continues to soar at country radio, earning over 900 million global career streams in under 18 months. On Nov. 1, Westbrook returned home to headline a benefit in Stephenville, Texas, raising over $100,000 for the Erath County Junior Livestock Association. Before the event, he was surprised by River House Artists / Warner Music Nashville staff alongside his co-writers, with two plaques, a Gold certification for breakout smash “5 To 9,” and a Platinum plaque for his debut single “House Again.”

Westbrook is currently headlining his “Texas Forever Fall Tour” nationwide, and was recently announced as an opener on Morgan Wallen’s 2026 “Still The Problem Tour.”
