Wynonna Tells ‘The Hard Truth’ On New Album
/by Madison HahnenWynonna will release her new album, The Hard Truth, on Oct. 2 via ANTI-Records. The lead single, “Kentucky Queen,” is available now.
“I’ve spent a lifetime singing about heartbreak, healing, faith and survival, but I’ve never made a record like this one,” she says. “These songs tell the truth about where I’ve been, what I’ve lost, what I’ve overcome, and who I’ve become. This album asked me to be brave enough to tell the truth—even when my voice shook. It challenged me to let go of perfectionism and embrace the beauty of honest emotion. My hope is that when you hear these songs, you feel what I was feeling while writing and recording them. If they help someone feel seen, understood, or a little less alone, then every hard truth was worth telling.”
The 10 track project features collaborations with Patterson Hood, The War and Treaty, and Iron & Wine. Cactus Moser serves as producer, with songwriter credits from Justin Weaver, Melissa Forette, Sarah Siskind and more.
“Being a part of this record, and helping bring these songs to life as its producer, has been the most important work I’ve known,” adds Moser. “We started with nothing but a feeling and emotion and ended up with an entire album that captures Wynonna’s story with a level of honesty she’s never experienced in her career. It’s the kind of record that makes a difference and reminds you why music exists in the first place.”
Wynonna will hit the road this summer on a co-headlining run with Melissa Etheridge and will return to her Kentucky roots with a mini tour of the state, including a show in her hometown of Ashland on album release day.
The Hard Truth Track List:
1. “Prelude (All Downhill From Ashland)”
2. “All Downhill From Ashland” (Cactus Moser, Melissa Forette, Wynonna Judd)

5. “Broken And Blessed” (Sarah Siskind, Cactus Moser, Wynonna Judd)
6. “Hear Me Now” (feat. Iron & Wine) (Sam Beam, Cactus Moser, Wyonnna Judd)
7. “The Hopeful Lie” (feat. The War And Treaty) (Cactus Moser, Melissa Forette, LindseyWiler, Wynonna Judd)
8. “Kentucky Queen” (Sarah Siskind, Cactus Moser, Justin Weaver, Wynonna Judd)

Anne Wilson Releases New Book
/by Lorie HollabaughRebel marks Wilson’s third book and follows the success of her debut book, My Jesus, and her K-LOVE Fan Award-winning Hey Girl 40-Day Devotional, and continues to expand the faith-forward storytelling that has resonated across her music, writing and live shows.
Rebel explores what it means to live as a true follower of Jesus. Blending personal stories with biblical insight, Wilson offers a fresh perspective on living a life of purpose and conviction, even when it means looking like a rebel to the rest of the world. Inspired by Wilson’s 16-track album REBEL, the book further extends the message of the uncompromising faith that has become central to her artistry. Providing practical applications and chapter-ending prayers, the book inspires a bold, countercultural commitment to Christ.
“Jesus changed my life when He showed me that following Him isn’t about fitting in, it’s about standing out for His kingdom,” shares Wilson. “Rebel is an invitation to live with that kind of bold faith. My hope is that readers walk away inspired to trust God more deeply, love Him more fully and courageously follow Him wherever He leads.”
The release arrives on the heels of Wilson recently taking home the Book Impact Award at the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards for her Hey Girl 40-Day Devotional. Wilson recently extended her 2026 nationwide “The Stars Tour” into the fall with 24 additional dates across the U.S.

Ian Munsick Unveils ‘The Mountain Goat’ Due In August
/by Lauryn SinkIan Munsick will release his fourth album, The Mountain Goat, on Aug. 21. The project marks Munsick’s first full-length project released via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS/Triple Tigers Records.
Co-produced by Munsick with Jeremy Spillman and Mike Robinson, the album’s 15 tracks were written alongside Devin Dawson, Tucker Beathard, Jared Conrad and others. Munsick also played an extensive role in the instrumentation heard on the record. In total, he is credited with playing nine different instruments including acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, bouzouki and kazoo, as well as lending background vocals and programming.
“‘Way up high in isolation, where most men dare not go…’ Since the very start of my musical journey I’ve always aspired to be an innovator. My voice has always been different so naturally, my music should be a little different too,” he shares. “When we started making this album, the relationship between my voice and the musical production was always at the forefront of the creative process. You’ll hear modern sounds rooted in folky textures, soaked with steel guitar and, of course, plenty of fiddle. Melodies that will, hopefully, haunt you till the end of your days and lyrics that will take you to the place that inspires me most; the west. These songs are dedicated to the land and the folks that live with it, not on it,” he adds. “Lord knows we need more of those in country music today. This album will take you horseback through pastures, prairies, up to the foothills, past the timberline and up to the summit… The Mountain Goat is waiting for you.”
His single “Love Is Blind” is currently climbing the radio charts. He will release the next album preview, “World War III,” on Friday (June 12).
As part of his “The Road to The Mountain Goat” shows, Munsick will host an official album release show at Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater in Park City, Utah on Aug. 22 as part of the Deer Valley Concert Series. The run of shows will also include stops in Nevada, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico and South Dakota. More information on these shows can be found here.

/by Lorie HollabaughCindy Mabe, Anna Rae, Lydia Sutherland, Troy Tomlinson & Tenille Townes
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s beginner-to-intermediate songwriting camp kicked off this week with artists and industry participants including singer-songwriters Tenille Townes and Anna Rae and Founder and CEO of Joan of Arc Music Cindy Mabe.
Songwriting camp at the museum offers aspiring songwriters ages 12-18 a week-long experience to hone their craft and learn from professionals. July’s intermediate-to-advanced camp will include CEO of Universal Music Publishing Troy Tomlinson with songwriter Lydia Sutherland. Registration for next year’s camp will open in January 2027.
