Weekly Register: Blake Shelton, Keith Urban Top Country Charts

Blake Shelton tops this week’s country albums chart, with Texoma Shore bringing in 63K in total consumption in its debut week, according to Nielsen Soundscan. The feat makes the project Shelton’s sixth album to top the country albums chart, however his last effort, If I’m Honest, tallied 170K units in total consumption.

After moving 219K in total consumption last week as No. 1 country album, Kenny Chesney‘s Live From No Shoes Nation brought in 52K this week, to land at No. 2.

Kelsea Ballerini‘s sophomore album, Unapologetically, debuts at No. 3, with 44K in total consumption. Kid Rock‘s Sweet Southern Sugar debuts at No. 4, with 43K, followed by Chris Stapleton‘s From A Room: Vol. 1 with 16K. Other notable debuts include Lee Brice‘s self-titled album at No. 7, with 15K.

Keith Urban tops this week’s country digital songs, with “Female,” which he debuted at last week’s CMA Awards. The track moved 20K this week. Stapleton’s “Broken Halo,” which the singer-songwriter performed on the CMA Awards, is at No. 2 with 20K. Last week the track sold 7K.

LANCO‘s “Greatest Love Story” is at No. 3, with 18K, followed by Kane Brown‘s “What Ifs” at No. 4 with 18K. Brothers Osborne’s “It Ain’t My Fault” is at No. 5 with 17.5K, following the duo’s performance of the track on the CMA Awards. Last week the track moved 2.2K.

Dylan Scott Celebrates Platinum Status

Curb Records artist Dylan Scott celebrated his first career RIAA Platinum-certified single for his No. 1 debut single “My Girl,” which earned over 1 million combined sales and streams in the U.S. alone. A celebratory shindig was held at Nashville’s Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum yesterday (Nov. 6).

Last month, Scott released the holiday album Merry Christmas, which includes new versions of five traditional Christmas songs, including “Winter Wonderland,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “The Christmas Song,” “White Christmas” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” He is currently touring with Justin Moore as the featured supporting artist on his Hell On A Highway Tour.

Carly Pearce’s “Every Little Thing” Goes Gold

Big Machine Records newcomer Carly Pearce‘s debut major label single “Every Little Thing” has been certified Gold by the RIAA. This makes Pearce the only solo female with a charting country debut single to earn this milestone in 2017.

Pearce’s debut album Every Little Thing entered at No. 2 on the country albums chart, and Pearce earned the top spot on Billboard’s all-genre Emerging Artists chart. “Every Little Thing” was a three-week No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway, while another Pearce track, “If My Name Was Whiskey,” also topped the SiriusXM The Highway chart.

“Country music is all I’ve ever known,” Pearce said. “I’ve spent years working towards moments like this, and I can’t begin to describe how ‘Every Little Thing’ has truly changed my life from the initial heartache to now ‘thank you.’ I’m so grateful to all of the fans and radio who have given me this GOLD-certified, Top 5 single! You’ve had more of an impact on me than you’ll ever know.”

Weekly Register: Kenny Chesney’s 30-Song Live Album Tops The Charts

Kenny Chesney‘s Live In No Shoes Nation tops this week’s country albums chart, according to Nielsen Soundscan, with 219K in total consumption. The number was also enough for Chesney to top the overall Top 200 albums chart, with fellow Nashville resident Kelly Clarkson coming in at No. 2. Clarkson’s Meaning of Life moved 79K this week.

On the country albums chart, Granger Smith‘s When The Good Guys Win debuts at No. 2, with 17K, followed by Kane Brown‘s self-titled album at No. 3 with 14K. Thomas Rhett‘s Life Changes is at No. 4 with 13K, while Darius Rucker‘s When Was The Last Time rounds out the Top 5 with 12K.

Other debuts this week include Lee Ann Womack‘s The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone debuting at No. 13 on the country albums rankings, with 3.2K.

The top 5 country digital songs this week are LANCO‘s “Greatest Love Story” at No. 1, with 17K (340K RTD), followed by Kane Brown’s “What Ifs” (ft. Lauren Alaina) at No. 2 with 16K. Luke Combs’ “When It Rains It Pours” is at No. 3 with 13.3K, followed by Dustin Lynch‘s “Small Town Boy” at No. 4 with 13K. Blake Shelton‘s “I’ll Name The Dogs” is at No. 5 with 11K.

Kenny Chesney’s Live Album Enters ‘Billboard’ Top 200 Chart At No. 1

Kenny Chesney’s album Live In No Shoes Nation debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, marking his eighth time in the No. 1 slot on the overall chart. His sales total reaches 219K, with the two-disc set included with every ticket order to next summer’s Trip Around the Sun 2018 stadium shows.

This is Chesney’s 15th time entering at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart.

The new collection includes special guests, hits and obscure tracks, recorded in venues ranging from stadiums to local bars.

His tour opens April 21 at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium.

Weekly Register: Chris Young Tops Country Albums Rankings With ‘Losing Sleep’

Chris Young tops this week’s country albums chart with Losing Sleep, moving 39K in total consumption in its debut week, according to Nielsen Soundscan. The album is also the No. 5 album on the overall albums chart this week.

Darius Rucker‘s When Was The Last Time debuts at No. 2, with 34K.

Turnpike TroubadoursLong Way From Your Heart opens at No. 3, with 18K sold, followed by Kane Brown‘s self-titled debut project, now with a deluxe edition, at No. 4 with 17K. Thomas Rhett‘s Life Changes rounds out the Top 5 country projects with 15K sold this week.

Other notable debuts on the country albums chart are Margo Price‘s All American Made at No. 12 on the country albums chart with 7.3K, and Wille Nelson‘s Willie and the Boys at No. 19 country with 5.5K.

On the top digital country songs chart, Kane Brown’s “What Ifs” is at No. 1 with 20K, followed by Chris Stapleton‘s new track “Millionaire,” with 19K. “Millionaire” is off Stapleton’s upcoming album, From ‘A’ Room, Vol. 2, out Dec. 1.

LANCO‘s “Greatest Love Story” is at No. 3, with 19K, followed by Kelsea Ballerini‘s “Miss You More” at No. 4 with 17K. “Miss You More” is featured on Ballerini’s upcoming album Unapologetically, out Nov. 3.

Luke Combs‘ “When It Rains” is at No. 5 with 14K.

BBR Music Group Switches Distribution To ADA

BMG has switched worldwide distribution of its Nashville-based BBR Music Group to ADA, the independent distribution and services arm of Warner Music Group (WMG). The deal follows the partnership launched between ADA and BMG in 2016, as well as BMG’s subsequent acquisition of BBR Music Group.

ADA, which launched in 1993 to focus on the independent music industry, will dedicate distribution, marketing and label service resources in Nashville and globally to promote BBR Music Group artists.

BBR Music Group includes labels Broken Bow Records, Stoney Creek Records, and Wheelhouse Records labels.

ADA’s first release with BBR Music Group is Current Mood, the third studio album by Dustin Lynch. Upcoming BBR Music Group releases include Granger Smith’s When The Good Guys Win and Chase Rice’s Lambs & Lions.

Eliah Seton, President of ADA Worldwide, commented: “Broken Bow is a powerhouse, and we are looking forward to working closely with Jon Loba and the whole BBR Music Group team to make sure country music fans have access to their special brand of music not just locally, but nationally and internationally as well. Big Machine Label Group Names Erin Parker As VP, Strategic Partnerships

Big Machine Label Group has added Erin Parker has VP, Strategic Partnerships. Parker was previously with Red Light Management’s Brand Partnership arm, New Era, where she headed endorsement deals, sponsorships, content creation and licensing for artists including Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, and Jon Pardi.

Parker began her career at Billboard’s conference and events team in New York City before relocating to Nashville in 2008, with a stint at MAC Presents.

“We are thrilled to have Erin join the team here at Big Machine,” said Mike Rittberg, BMLG Chief Marketing Officer. “Her experience and determination in this space will be a valuable asset to our artists”.

Female artists top the country albums and country digital songs charts this week.

Jessie James Decker‘s Southern Girl City Lights debuts atop this week’s country albums chart, with 21K in total consumption, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

Following Decker is Kane Brown‘s self-titled project, which moved 20K to land at No. 2 after his deluxe version hit shelves on Oct. 6. Thomas Rhett‘s Life Changes scans in at No. 3, with 16K. Carly Pearce‘s Every Little Thing debuts at No. 4, with 15K. Russell Dickerson‘s Yours rounds out the Top 5, debuting with 12K sold.

On the digital songs rankings, Pearce’s “Every Little Thing” reaches the pinnacle, with 26K sold this week, and 293K sold to date.

Kane Brown’s “What Ifs” is at No. 2, with 22K, followed by LANCO‘s “Greatest Love Story” at No. 3 with 18K. Luke Combs‘ “When It Rains” is at No. 4, with 15K, while Thomas Rhett’s “Unforgettable’ rounds out the Top 5 country digital songs with 13K.

The top country digital song debut this week is Chris Young‘s “Where I Go When I Drink,” which debuts at No. 12 with 7.8K.
