Rewind: 2022 MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart No. 1s

December 23, 2022/in Uncategorized /by Alex Parry

Since 2002, the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart has crowned No. 1 songs in the secondary country radio marketplace, celebrating 39 songs in 2022. MusicRow congratulates each artist, songwriter and label for their accomplishments this year.

Kane Brown is the only artist to earn three No. 1s this year. “One Mississippi” reached No. 1 in Dec. of 2021 and returned to the top the second chart week of the year. “Like I Love Country Music” remained at No. 1 for three weeks in June and July, and “Thank God” which features Brown’s wife, Katelyn Brown, peaked in December.

Luke Combs‘ “The Kind Of Love We Make” occupied the No. 1 position for four total weeks in July, August and an additional week in September.

Several artists received their first CountryBreakout No. 1s this year, including Dylan Scott (“New Truck”) Parmalee (“Take My Name”) Jackson Dean (“Don’t Come Lookin'”), Bailey Zimmerman (“Fall In Love”), and Tyler Hubbard with his first solo single (“5 Foot 9”).

The winners of the 21st annual MusicRow CountryBreakout Awards, which are based on radio airplay reported by stations on MusicRow’s radio panel, will be revealed on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
