Spotify Launches Standalone Kids App In The U.S.

Spotify has officially launched a standalone app for youth, titled Spotify Kids, in the United States, France and Canada, after first introducing the venture last year. The ad-free app is available exclusively for Spotify Premium Family subscribers and designed for youth ages three and older.

The app includes more than 8,000 songs and 125 playlists, as well as over 60 hours of stories, such as Disney Music Group stories and short stories.

Spotify is working with brands including Disney, KIDZ Bop and Nickelodeon to craft custom content for the app and will have custom content for United States users, such as including Spanish-language, country, Christian, Motown and soul dance party playlists. The app also includes music from popular movies and events, such as the Trolls World Tour playlist and an official Frozen playlist.
