Josh Turner Postpones Tour Dates Following Fatal Bus Crash

A tour bus carrying members of Josh Turner‘s road crew crashed Wednesday evening (Sept. 18) near Shandon, California, leaving one dead and seven passengers injured. The California Highway Patrol has identified the deceased as David Turner, 64, of Oxford, Mississippi. The Daily Journal reports that David is unrelated to Josh. David has been part of the country star’s road crew for more than a decade.
According to the the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, Turner and his band members were not aboard the bus, which crashed off of Highway 46 as it was leaving a concert in Paso Robles, California.
All of Turner’s remaining shows for September are being rescheduled for a later date.
“Josh Turner and his road family have suffered a devastating loss,” a rep for Turner tells MusicRow Magazine. “Please keep the crew, band and Josh in your thoughts and prayers.”
