Keith Urban Announces Eighth Studio Album, ‘Ripcord’
Keith Urban has announced his eighth studio album will be called Ripcord. Urban’s recent radio single, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” became his 19th No. 1, and is the first single from Ripcord. This past week Urban released the album’s second single, the melodic, mid-tempo ballad “Break On Me.”
Urban will perform on The 49th Annual CMA Awards with John Mellencamp on Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Mellencamp’s moniker, John Cougar, is actually referenced in Urban’s “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16.”
