Carrie Underwood To Headline ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’
Carrie Underwood will ring in a new year as headliner for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2016. The celebration will be held in front of approximately 1 million fans in New York City’s Times Square, just before the ball drops to welcome in 2016. American Idol host Ryan Seacrest will once again host the celebration
The program will air on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
“There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than New York’s Times Square, one of the most magical places in the world, to ring in the New Year,” Underwood said in a statement. “It’s going to be a memorable night, and I can’t wait to celebrate with the world!”
“The first time I heard Carrie sing, I knew she would be a superstar, and each year she continues to dominate the charts,” added Seacrest. “I can’t wait to see her rock Times Square and ring in 2016 as our headliner.”
