Johnny Cash Museum To Host Writers Nights
The Johnny Cash Museum is hosting a new Songwriters Night in its cafe. Twice every month, writers and musicians will be invited to play at the museum, and the first series is Thursday, Aug. 6 from 7-9 p. m. The lineup for the inaugural show includes 70’s star Melanie Safka, who had a hit with the song “Brand New Key,” along with Melanie’s daughter Leilah Hayman, Alissa Moreno, Richie Scholl, and Jess Leary.
“I’ve always found my most memorable concert experiences were when I got to see the artist or writer in an intimate setting,” says Bill Miller, founder of the Johnny Cash Museum. “That setting is what we will be presenting in the Johnny Cash Museum Café and we couldn’t be more excited to launch it with Melanie Safka.”
The event is free to the public. More information on this and future shows can be found here.
