Singer/songwriter Adam Hood released his fourth full-length album Welcome To The Big World on Tuesday (Nov. 4), available via Lone Star Music and iTunes.
To coincide with the album release, Hood is on the road with Texas musician Jason Eady as part of their Southern Brothers From Another Mother co-headlining tour, performing together as an acoustic duo, trading off original songs (full itinerary below). The tour stops at Nashville’s The Basement, 7 p.m. on Monday, November 10.
For the album, the Alabama native took to the crowd-funding site Kickstarter in November 2013 for fans to pledge support in reaching his goal to make the record with producer Rachel Loy. For the first time in 12 years Hood has released his music independently (Adam Hood Music). The album’s first single, “Trying to Write a Love Song” (Hood/Pat McLaughlin/Logan Mize), was released earlier this year and hit Top 5 on both Texas Music Charts.“Bar Band” will be the next single.
Notable collaborations include Will Hoge (“Postcards and Payphones”), Charlie Worsham and Sunny Sweeney (“The Countriest”).
