Industry Ink: Ambrosia Healy, Mandisa, 'Songwriters Under the Stars'

Capitol Music Group (CMG) has named Ambrosia Healy as Sr. VP, Head of Media Strategy & Relations. Healy will oversee design and execution of publicity plans for CMG artists and projects for the company’s portfolio of labels, including Capitol, Virgin, Motown, Harvest, Blue Note, and Astralwerks.
Healy has 20 years in the music industry. In 2001, she worked as VP of Publicity for Capitol Records, helming the company’s PR efforts for five years. She has worked with Dave Matthews Band, ColdPlay, Nine Inch Nails, Phish, Fiona Apple, and more.

CCM singer Mandisa, who recently won her first Dove Award for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for Overcomer, was surprised backstage at a concert last weekend with a plaque commemorating the RIAA Gold Certification of her digital single, “Good Morning.”

Some of Nashville’s top songwriters will take the stage at Cheekwood for Songwriters Under The Stars. Jessi Alexander, Brett James and Kyle Jacobs will perform their Country compositions, backed by the Nashville Studio Symphony on Swan Lawn at Cheekwood.
The event takes place Thursday, Oct. 23, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30, and can be purchased at cheekwood.org.
