Sea Gayle Music Signs CJ Solar

Sea Gayle Music has signed Baton Rouge, La. songwriter-artist CJ Solar to a publishing agreement.
“A few months ago, Freeman Wizer, VP Creative at Sea Gayle, asked me if we had any internship spots open for this semester,” said Marc Driskill, EVP/GM of Sea Gayle. “We had a spot open and offered it to CJ. It wasn’t long after he started that Mike Owens, VP Creative at Sea Gayle heard some of CJ’s songs and wanted to sign him. As soon as everyone on the creative team heard his music, we offered him a deal on the spot. His lyrics are well beyond his years and his voice is distinctive and soulful. What a great story and an amazing talent. We are really excited about working with CJ and having him as part of the Sea Gayle roster.”
Sea Gayle Music was established in 1999. Sea Gayle’s songwriters have written 36 chart-topping songs and have earned the company ASCAP Country Publisher of the Year honors two out of the past four years.
