'MusicRow' No. 1 Song

Is it the familiarity of Mike Eli’s voice or Josh Osborne and Laura Veltz’s relatable lyrics that cause a sense of wistful nostalgia on this week’s No. 1 MusicRow Song, “Drunk Last Night,” from the Eli Young Band?
Clearly we’re not the only ones who have this song on repeat. Our MusicRow chart reporting stations spun the title 3,206 times this week. The song is even the namesake for Eli Young Band’s recent fall tour.
MusicRow’s Robert K. Oermann notes the production talents of Frank Liddell and Justin Niebank, saying, “Frothing and foamy, this is one delectable slab of country-rock. Everything works here: The morning-after lyric, the frenetic tempo, the stuttering guitars, the group harmonies and the crisp production work.”
