No Shave November Gathering Teams To Benefit St. Jude

The Third Annual No Shave November is gathering teams for the coming month. Each team will forgo shaving for the entire month, rallying friends and family to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. The donations will help St. Jude continue its mission of finding cures and saving children.
Thompson Square’s Keifer Thompson has been named the 2013 Honorary Chairman Of The Beard. “This has to be the most absurdly wonderful recognition I’ve received to date,” said Thompson, who was last year’s top fundraising artist. “For No Shave November to have raised so much money to further the tremendous work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is something every participant should be incredibly proud of. At the same time, for all of us to have done it by spending a month as a sloth is pretty ridiculous. I’m actually not sure if I’m honored to be the scraggly face of this thing or not!”
This year’s event encourages artists, radio stations, air personalities, companies and individuals everywhere to participate and join a team. Each team will encourage as many men (and women) to join and donate at least $30 to St. Jude. The event raised more than $38,000 in 2011 and a whopping $138,000 in 2012.
2013 participating artists who have started their own teams include Thompson Square, Benton Blount, Craig Campbell, Randy Houser, Dylan Scott and Austin Webb. Companies include Big Machine Label Group, Blaster Records, BBR Music Group, Country Aircheck, Country Weekly, MusicRow, Sony Music Nashville, Tenacity Records, Universal Music Group/Nashville and Warner Music Nashville. Radio stations and shows include the Bobby Bones Show, KAJA/San Antonio, KTEX/McAllen, TX, WCYQ/Knoxville, WDXB/Birmingham, WKML/Fayetteville, NC, WSIX/Nashville and WUSY/Chattanooga. Media partners include All Access and MusicRow. Supporters include ZZ Top and Mountain Man of Duck Dynasty fame.
