AIMP Elects Officers and Board of Directors for 2013-2014
The Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) Nashville Chapter held its first biannual elections last week, electing the 2013-2014 officers and board of directors.

“I am honored to step into this role with the AIMP and humbly accept the responsibility to continue the dedicated work that Kevin Lamb and the previous officers put forth to establish a platform for independent music publishers in Nashville,” says Driskill. “We all owe Kevin and the founding Board a debt of gratitude for doing the heavy lifting of creating the foundation for the Nashville Chapter. I believe it is a critical time for independent publishers to strengthen our business models and establish a collective voice for our music and our rights. We are going to support each other, have some fun, and also shine a spotlight on the most important part of our business, the music.”

Marc has some great ideas, which I fully support. It will be exciting to watch this new Board move these agendas forward.”

The 20th Annual Springer Mountain Farms Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman concert series will launch Thursday, June 20 with a performance by Vince Gill.

Black River Entertainment’s Craig Morgan will return to Outdoor Channel with the fourth season of his television show, Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors. The new season will premiere on July 7 at 11 p.m. EST/8 p.m. PST.
Kellie Pickler will co-host and perform on ABC Television’s The View on Tuesday (June 18). Fresh off her win of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, Pickler will perform her new single, “Someone Somewhere Tonight,” for the first time on television.
RPM Entertainment artist Maggie Rose will be performing on Fox & Friends on Monday (June 17). Fans can tune-in at 8:50 a.m. EST to watch Rose perform her current radio hit, “Better,” from her debut album Cut To Impress.
Performing rights organization SESAC has inked a two-year licensing deal with Discovery Communications, LLC. The new deal will authorize the network’s access to SESAC’s repertoire for its numerous channels and programs.
C.F. Martin & Co. is teaming up with multiple Grammy-nominated artist and brand ambassador, Hunter Hayes, on a new Facebook contest this summer called ENCORE. One lucky Grand Prize winner will receive a new Martin OM-42 guitar, the same model that Hunter plays, which values at $6,799, and six months of Martin SP Lifespan strings.
Forty-five new members have been selected to participate in the 25th class of Leadership Music. The annual program is designed to create a forum for established music community leaders to identify and explore issues currently affecting the music industry. Founded in 1989 by eleven music industry alumni of Leadership Nashville, Leadership Music has graduated more than 950 leaders.
