The summer issue, takes a look back at this year’s successful Global Events showcases, held June 6-7 during CMA Music Festival week in Nashville. With 18 different global Country artists on hand, the highlights were many, but nothing came as a bigger surprise than the CMA’s special international award presentation to world-class guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.  The presenter?  None other than Keith Urban! Canada’s Country Music Week will run Sept. 9-12 this year in Hamilton, Ontario.  The week of showcases, seminars and performances culminates with the 30th CCMA Awards on Monday night, Sept. 12th.  Country Music Week relocates to a new city each year, and this is the first time in more than 15 years that the events return to Hamilton!

For the first time ever, Nashville’s two-day Country Music Summit (held during CMA Music Fest week) included an international panel. Artists and industry professionals shared their thoughts on issues facing the global Country music market. Panelists included Tommy Emmanuel, Ron Kitchener, Joe Nichols, Rob Potts, Judy Seale and Brad Turcotte.
