Artists Sign On For Bentley’s “Miles & Music For Kids”
The Nashville kick-off event for Dierks Bentley’s “Miles & Music For Kids” is set for 1pm Sunday, Oct. 11. Joining previously announced guests Bentley and his Capitol labelmates Darius Rucker and Eric Church for the event will be Wynonna, Heidi Newfield and Michelle Branch.
Tickets for the ride and concert are available online. Ride participants will trek from the Cool Springs Harley Davidson through Williamson County to downtown Nashville, ending in a jam session at Riverfront Park. And for the first time in the event’s four year history, the afternoon event will be happening just before the Tennessee Titans take on the Indianapolis Colts at LP Field.
“My idea of the perfect Sunday afternoon includes live music, motorcycles, beer and football…but you also have to have girls…can’t forget about them,” laughs Bentley. “It’s awesome that Wynonna, Michelle and Heidi want to come help us raise some money that day…it should be a blast.”
Bentley has joined forces with Nationwide Insurance, CMT ONE COUNTRY and the Children’s Miracle Network to expand “Miles & Music for Kids” event to six cities across the country in 2009 and 2010, with all proceeds benefiting Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in those areas. The first three “Miles & Music For Kids” events in Nashville have raised over $500,000.
