Singer-songwriter Graham Barham is starting 2024 by sharing the news of his signing with Sony Music Nashville and Disruptor Records as well as his latest single “Lights On Nobody’s Home,” out today (Jan. 5).

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with the incredible teams at Sony Music Nashville and Disruptor,” he says. “It really is a blessing to partner with companies who have such a long history of developing artists and innovating musically. I couldn’t be more excited or grateful to have them in my corner.”

The Oak Ridge, Louisiana native draws inspiration from the imagery of his small hometown. He began singing in church when he was little, and had taught himself to play guitar and write music by the age of 10. At age 18, Barham made his way to Music City and began penning tunes for artists in town, working to hone a balance of compassion, honesty and humor in his songwriting, while pulling elements of classic country influences like George Strait and heavy hitters in the pop space.

Written by Barham, Beau Bailey, Will Bundy and Brad Clawson, “Lights On Nobody’s Home” is a playful take on drinking away heartbreak. The track is the first taste of all the new music the artist plans to release this year.

Additionally, Barham will join Adam Doleac on select dates of his “Wrong Side Of A Sunrise 2024 Tour” this spring.

Charles Wesley Godwin has announced the first round of dates for his 2024 headline tour.

The tour kicks off April 4 at The National in Richmond, and will coincide with his run on Luke Combs’ “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” stadium tour beginning April 12 at American Family Field in Milwaukee. He’ll visit Charleston, Minneapolis, Toronto, Tucson and more through April 26.

Godwin released his Big Loud Records debut Family Ties in September 2023, which ended up on a number of best of 2023 year-end lists. His single “Family Ties” was included on Apple Music’s list of “The 100 Best Songs of 2023.” Godwin was Apple Music’s “Country Riser” pick in October and was was named part of CMT’s 2024 Listen Up class.

The Recording Academy’s Special Merit Awards Ceremony celebrating the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award, Trustees Award, Technical Grammy Award and Best Song For Social Change Award recipients will return during Grammy Week on Feb. 3, at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre.

Tammy Wynette is among the 2024 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award honorees, which also include Laurie Anderson, the Clark Sisters, Gladys Knight, N.W.A and Donna Summer. 

In 1968, Wynette released “Stand By Your Man,” which sold more than five million singles and became the largest-selling single ever recorded by a female artist. By 1970, she racked up five No. 1 hits, was named the Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year three times, and won two Grammys. Wynette was the first female country music singer to sell over one million albums and has sold more than 30 million records grossing more than $100 million, earning her the title “The First Lady of Country Music.”

Peter Asher, DJ Kool Herc and Joel Katz are the Trustees Award recipients. Katz has shaped the entertainment industry through his work in facilitating entertainment-related corporate acquisitions and mergers and consulting multi-national and multi-media entertainment companies. Katz was ranked Billboard magazine’s No. 1 entertainment attorney in its “Power 100” list of most powerful executives in the music business. At Kennesaw State University, Katz endowed and began a commercial music program—one of the largest music education programs in America with over 500 students. In honor of his work, the University of Tennessee College of Law dedicated its library in his name, the Joel A. Katz Law Library.

California native Dawson Anderson has signed a worldwide publishing deal with LBK Entertainment and Mailbox Money Music.

Formerly a member of the band Temecula Road, Anderson came to Nashville at just 15 years old. After signing his first record and publishing deal with the band, he gained tremendous writing and performing experience to carry him into his solo career. While continuing to plant himself in the Nashville writing community, Anderson’s music reflects his country, rock and pop influences.

“We are so excited to partner with the awesome crew at LBK to continue working with Dawson in his new venture as a solo artist, and we can’t wait for the world to hear his music!” says Sarah Robbins of Mailbox Money Music.
