McGraw Enlists Country Radio For "Southern Girl" Video Release

tim mcgraw southern girlTim McGraw has enlisted the help of country radio stations nationwide to get the word out about the release of his latest music video, “Southern Girl.” McGraw will premiere the clip on country radio station websites nationwide, simultaneously starting at 4 p.m. ET on July 23, 2013. Immediately following the premiere, McGraw will host a twitter chat with fans via @TheTimMcGraw.
“Southern Girl” is the fourth single from McGraw’s Big Machine Records debut project, Two Lanes of Freedom.
“When we started talking about a video concept for ‘Southern Girl,’ I knew that this song belonged to the fans who have been out at our live shows all summer,” says McGraw. “We brought cameras out on the road and turned them around on the crowd, and they really helped us capture the fun summer groove of this song. It seems fitting that country radio would get first crack at this video because they have been such a huge part of making this tour blow up and be so special.”
The entertainer’s Two Lanes of Freedom 2013 Tour will wrap with stops in Toronto, Ontario (July 25), Bethel, N.Y. (July 26) and Virginia Beach, Va. (July 27).

Jason Aldean certainly knows how to draw a crowd. He broke two attendance records this weekend during his concerts at Fenway Park in Boston. Aldean broke Paul McCartney‘s single night record and The Dave Matthews Band‘s two-night record (set in 2006). More than 70,000 tickets to Aldean’s concerts were sold in less than an hour; those fans packed the ballpark as Aldean became the first country artist in history to perform at Fenway Park. The concerts featured guests Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett.
“I heard we also set a new all time record for beer sales,” says Aldean. “They drank Boston dry…it was wild!”
Aldean’s 2013 Night Train Tour continues next week with a concert at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on July 20.

Eileen Carey – Bottle Your Crazy Up

In the grand tradition of such classic “advice songs” as “Don’t Come Home A’ Drinkin’,” “Love The One You’re With,” “Give Peace A Chance” and “Keep Your      Hands To Yourself,” now comes Eileen Carey’s insanely catchy new single, “BOTTLE YOUR CRAZY UP.”
That title is a phrase you’ll probably find yourself repeating the rest of your life—especially when you’re dealing with a friend’s obsessive behavior.
Here’s the scene of the song:  One woman is telling another not to rebound from a bad breakup too hard and too fast.  And here’s what she advises:
Don’t order the tequila, ‘cause you know how you get,
Don’t talk about your ex, you ain’t over him yet,
You can wear the short skirt, but I’d forget the heels,
And don’t go on about how you feel. . . .
Bottle your crazy up!*
Set for release to country radio the week of July 7, “BOTTLE YOUR CRAZY UP” is the latest gem from Eileen’s loudly applauded new album, Let It Go.
Eileen will be visiting radio stations throughout the summer for meet-and-greets, interview and live performances of “BOTTLE YOUR CRAZY UP.”

The radio friendly, mid-tempo country story song, “Lay Me Down in Oklahoma” is a perfect choice for Amy Jack, a  DFW resident and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.  The daughter of a voice teacher,  Amy sings the difficult, rangy tune with ease and  amazing emotion. “Music can go a long way toward helping heal feelings and lift spirits ” she says. Veteran Music Row hit tunesmith, Kris Bergsnes, who also has an Oklahoma ranch co-wrote  “Lay Me Down in Oklahoma” with Tony Ramey and Si Hill.  Many top music executives feel this will be a country radio hit. Amy knows radio first-hand, since she was one of the marketing salespeople at Clear Channel whose sponsors helped keep the stations on the air.  That’s just one more of the countless talents of the remarkable singer, songwriter and producer named Amy Jack.
