Gustavo Mioto has released his debut English-language single, “Last Goodbye,” via Universal Music Brasil, in partnership with MCA. The track has garnered more than one million streams in the first month since its release.
Born in Votuporanga, São Paulo, Mioto began playing guitar at six years old and wrote his first song at age 10. By 13, he was already performing professionally and building the foundation for a career that would eventually include nine albums and three live DVD projects. He has amassed 12 million followers across his platforms and over seven million monthly listeners on Spotify.
“Gustavo Mioto represents a new generation of global artists—talents who can honor their local roots while speaking to audiences everywhere. His move into English-language country music reflects both his artistic ambition and the increasingly borderless nature of today’s music industry. We are thrilled to partner with Gustavo, MCA, and WME as he continues to build meaningful connections with fans around the world through exceptional songwriting and authentic storytelling,” says Paulo Lima, President, Universal Music Brazil.
“I have always been a fan of Country music, but there was one specific day that changed the entire trajectory of my life. I was watching TV and caught the CMT Crossroads episode with Keith Urban and John Mayer. It absolutely blew my mind. In that moment, everything clicked. I saw how you could combine the melancholic soul of John Mayer with the Country-rock energy of Keith Urban. It was the perfect blend of emotional depth and rockstar performance. That exact collaboration is the reason I picked up the guitar and started to play,” says Mioto.
“Gustavo’s passion for country music is unmistakable,” Ami Brown, Vice President, International Marketing, MCA. “Rather than simply recording an English-language project, he immersed himself in Nashville’s songwriting community, collaborated with some of our city’s incredible creatives, and took the time to understand the culture and storytelling that define the genre. ‘Last Goodbye’ is just the beginning. We’re excited to help introduce Gustavo to country audiences around the world and continue building a bridge between Nashville and one of the most vibrant music markets in the world.”
Mioto is represented by WME.
“Coming from Brazil, where Gustavo has played for over a million fans at a single Carnival show and performs more than 200 dates a year, starting from the ground up in North America is a testament to his dedication. Building a lasting, global career requires a solid foundation, that’s why he spent months immersed in the Nashville songwriting community collaborating with some of Music City’s most accomplished writers. The momentum behind his debut English-language country single ‘Last Goodbye’—which earned over 1 million streams in its first month—gives us a fantastic starting point for this exciting next chapter,” shares WME’s Nate Towne. “We are focused on building a bridge between his international audiences, one song and one show at a time.”

Ella Langley Makes Billboard Hot 100 History
/by Madison HahnenElla Langley. Photo: Caylee Robillard
Ella Langley‘s “Choosin’ Texas” has hit it’s 11th week on top of the Billboard Hot 10o chart.
With this placement, the tune has become the longest-running No. 1 by a woman with a country hit on the Hot 100. (“Country hit” is defined as a song that has appeared on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart, according to Billboard). It breaks the tie with Debby Boone’s “You Light Up My Life,” which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and reached No. 4 on Hot Country Songs in 1977.
This marks “Choosin’ Texas” sixth separate stay at No. 1, after previously leading on the charts dated Feb. 14; March 7 and 21-28; April 11-25 and May 9-23. That’s the most separate No. 1 runs for a song during a single release cycle, breaking the record of five set by Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” (2023) and Harry Styles’ “As It Was” (2022). Overall, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” holds the record with eight returns to No. 1 between 2019 and 2025.
The song also marked its 29th week at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart this week.

Band Reeves Gets Personal On ‘How To Forgive,’ Due In August
/by Lorie HollabaughBand Reeves will release their debut album for Centricity Music, How To Forgive, on Aug. 21. The title track is available now.
The album finds Palestine, Texas-based Jeramy and Cody Reeves sharing some of their most personal songs to date, rooted in family conflict, pride, broken relationships, redemption and restoration. The project tells the story of two brothers learning that forgiveness is not about forgetting what happened, but rather trusting God enough to let go of what they are carrying.
At its core, How To Forgive is an album about freedom that comes when grace wins over pride. One of the defining moments behind the project happened years ago while Cody was working construction with his father. After a heated disagreement, Cody said things he immediately regretted and walked away knowing he was completely in the wrong. When his father returned to the job site, Cody expected a confrontation. Instead, he experienced grace.
“My dad apologized first,” Cody recalls. “Even though I was in the wrong. I apologized and Dad looked at me and said, ‘I already forgave you before you asked.’ I’ll never forget that moment. Forgiveness was given before it was ever asked. That’s exactly what Jesus did for us.”
For Jeramy, the lesson came through recognizing how pride had affected some of the most important relationships in his life. “I spent years wanting to be right, wanting to be in control, wanting people to see me as the guy who had it all together,” Jeramy shares. “Looking back, I realize pride cost me time. It cost me moments and relationships that could have been healthier if I had chosen humility sooner.”
Additional highlights on the album include the current radio single “If I Didn’t Have You,” the Walker Hayes and Kyle Williams co-write “Devil Drive,” the harmony-filled “Outrun You,” the faith-and-values anthem “My Country,” and “Front Porch Church,” a reminder to slow down and reconnect with what matters most.
How To Forgive Track List:
1. “If I Didn’t Have You”
2. “How To Forgive”
3. “My Country”
4. “Outrun You”
5. “Devil Drive”
6. “Jesus Won’t”
7. “That Old Man”
8. “What Free Feels Like”
9. “Love You To Death”
10. “Front Porch Church”
11. “Big Shoes”
12. “Hold On To Jesus”

Josh Ross has notched his second consecutive No. 1 at U.S. Country Radio with “Hate How You Look.” The tune currently sits atop the Mediabase Country and Billboard Country Airplay charts.
The achievement also makes Ross the first solo Canadian male artist in more than 50 years to earn back-to-back U.S. Country Radio No. 1 singles, following Hank Snow.
“I still can’t believe I get to do this. Seeing ‘Hate How You Look’ follow ‘Single Again’ to No. 1 is something I’ll never forget. Huge thanks to country radio, the fans, my team, and everyone who’s supported these songs since the begging. It means more than you know,” says Ross.

He has over 30 No. 1’s.” Turning to Akins, he continued, “You’ve always been family to me, but I’m here to invite you to be part of a different family. Rhett Akins I am here to invite you to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry.”

Anytime they’d ask me to play, if I was in Alaska, I’d fly home immediately. I love country music with all my heart and all I ever wanted to do was meet Hank Jr.. Meet George Strait. After the show, Akins carried the celebration to a special post-show party with fans in Opry House Studio A.
“We’re going to be so pleased to welcome a fellow like Rhett who has made such an impact both as a recording artist and an often-recorded songwriter into the Opry family.” says Dan Rogers, Opry executive producer. “Rhett lauds the Opry’s traditions and is excited to help build its future as the show enters its second century.
