• Sara Evans has signed with The Collective for management representation. The company’s local office opened in early 2012 and is headed by President Genevieve Jewell. Evans joins a Nashville roster that includes Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown, Megan & Liz and Elizabeth Huett. The Collective also works with Linkin Park, Alanis Morisette, Counting Crows, Jimmy Cliff, Godsmack, Slash, Avenged Sevenfold, Big Boi and Enrique Iglesias.

• Old Crow Medicine Show‘s fourth full-length studio album, Carry Me Back, debuted with 17k units sold, the band’s best ever sales week and its highest ever charting position. • Congrats to Latocki Team Creative, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary under the LTC moniker and over 26 years in the Nashville music business. From there, Team Design became Latocki Team Creative, shifting its focus to identity creation, image alignment and brand management. In more good news, Hensley and her husband James are expecting their first child, a son, very soon.
• MusicRow offers sincere condolences to the family of Ricki Dawn Uselton, including her aunt, radio promoter Jan Woods, and cousin Christina Bear. According to News Channel 5, Uselton, 22, died on July 24 after being struck by a car on Old Hickory Boulevard Monday night (7/23). She was a graduate of MTSU. Services will be today, July 26, from 5-8 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. The family requests memorial donations to Rocketown.
• MusicRow offers sincere condolences to Debbie Zavitson of Zavitson Music Group on the passing of her father, Don Cox. Cox was a respected bandleader and the former owner of the Cowtown club in San Jose, Calif. He died July 23 after a battle with lymphoma. Twitter Experiences Global Outage
/by FreemanUpon logging in, users were greeted with the dreaded “Twitter is currently down” message and some programming code. Multiple reports confirmed Twitter engineers were indeed working on the issue but had offered little in the way of details.
The service interruption comes on the eve of the London Olympic Games, when traffic and usage of Twitter is expected to spike dramatically.
Twitter also experienced an extended outage in June, with users being shut out for approximately two hours.
BMLG Artists to Represent at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Dierks Bentley Releasing New EP

ParkerThe collection was produced by Jaren Johnston (The Cadillac Black) and will be promoted during tailgating season at SEC campuses on Bentley’s Back To College Tour with guest The Cadillac Black. The tour visits The University of Georgia (8/20); The University of South Carolina (8/21); and culminates in The Grove at The University of Mississippi (8/22).
“We thought we’d celebrate the end of summer and back to school with an EP of new material that’s about cutting loose,” said Bentley. “I’ve written a lot with Jaren, and we thought it would be fun to get the guys in my band and a couple of cases of beer and go see what happens in the studio.”

Darryl Worley and Friends Plan Benefit in Jackson

Songwriters Jerry Salley, Kendell Marvel and Jim “Moose” Brown will join Darryl Worley for the Darryl Worley and Friends Songwriters’ Event in Jackson, TN on Tues., July 31.
The performance, held at Bumpus Harley-Davidson, will benefit a variety of organizations including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center and the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center in accordance with the Darryl Worley Foundation.
The show begins at 7 p.m., doors at 6:30 p.m. allowing guests to bid on auction items. Tickets begin at $75 and second-tier tables are available for $700. For more information, contact contact Angie Bumpus at 731-422-5508.
This Worley event precedes his songwriters’ event and Tennessee River Run in Savannah, TN in mid September. The last two Darryl Worley and Friends Songwriters’ events have helped raise more than $67,000 for the Foundation.
Lewis to Play “Fox & Friends” Concert Series

The Charlie Daniels Band Plans Annual Christmas 4 Kids Concert

Christmas 4 Kids is a not-for-profit organization founded over 25 years ago. The funds generated by the annual concert and Tour Bus Show/Artist Meet and Greet event are used to give over 400 children a day-long shopping excursion. The special day consists of a chauffeured trip from their schools aboard a luxury tour bus, lunch, a party hosted by Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a Walmart shopping spree, where the kids receive new winter coats and $150 in spending money.
