South African Rockers Seether Sign With UTA

South African rock band Seether has signed with United Talent Agency for worldwide representation. Seether has released seven studio albums since moving to the U.S. in 2002.  Poison the Parish, the group’s newest release, was released on May 12 on Canine Riot Records (via Concord Music Group).

The band now resides in the U.S., with Seether singer/songwriter and guitarist Shaun Morgan residing in Nashville.

Morgan produced the album (the first he’s produced in its entirety), alongside engineer and mixer Matt Hyde at Nashville’s Blackbird Studio. Poison the Parish’s single, “Let You Down,” topped the Mediabase active rock airplay chart for three weeks at No. 1.

UTA’s Steve Kaul said, “We are excited to be part of the Seether family again and look forward to continuing to help the band develop and grow their touring business across the globe.”

Nashville Rockers Moon Taxi Add Fall Dates Including Three Music City Shows

Nashville alt-rockers Moon Taxi have announced a fall leg to their 2017 North American headline tour that will include dates in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, New York City and more, plus three hometown dates in Nashville, including two shows at the Ryman Auditorium. The band recently independently released its new single “Two High” and in just weeks the song has already racked up over 8+ million streams. With its catchy hook and message of hope, the tune has struck a chord with fans around the world.

“The song is a song about hope,” expressed frontman Trevor Terndrup. “Hope for understanding, hope for acceptance, and hope for our future. We were inspired by the simple and universal peace sign. It’s a gesture we would like to see more of.”

Moon Taxi is currently recording the followup to their last LP, Daybreaker (2015 BMG), that debuted at #2 on the Billboard New Artist Chart.

APA Signs Josh Martin, Josh Thompson, Shenandoah, The Black Jacket Symphony

APA Nashville continues to expand its roster with the additions of Josh Martin, Josh Thompson, Shenandoah and The Black Jacket Symphony. 

Kentucky native Martin is a Sony/ATV writer whose first single, “How’d You Know,” is out now. Thompson recently co-wrote the title track of Tim McGraw’s album, Damn Country Music as well as Jason Aldean’s “Any Ol’ Barstool.” His latest album is Change: The Lost Record.

Shenandoah has cut nine studio albums and had 26 Billboard charting singles, and the band continues to work on new material for their upcoming tour. The Black Jacket Symphony is back on the road after a brief break. The group of hand-picked musicians perform a selected album in its entirety, offering a unique concert experience with performances known for their state of the art lighting and video production.

Thomas Rhett Extends Home Team Tour Into Fall

Thomas Rhett has added some fall dates to his wildly successful Home Team Tour, which launched in February. Rhett will hit Los Angeles, San Diego, Louisville, and 14 other cities this Fall and will also return to the UK for dates in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Belfast.

Deana Carter Signs With Conway Entertainment Group

Deana Carter has signed with Conway Entertainment Group for exclusive booking. In the 20th anniversary of the release of her multi-platinum debut album Did I Shave My Legs For This?, which has sold over 5 million copies worldwide, Deana Carter continues to push creative boundaries with her highly personal songwriting and signature blend of country and retro-rock.

The Cadillac Three Taking ‘Long Hair’ Back To Europe In November

The Cadillac Three are heading to Europe on their Long Hair Don’t Care Tour, beginning Nov. 1 in Berlin. Joining the raucous trio on the 16-date tour will be Brothers Osborne and Broken Witt Rebels. This is the fourth European tour for the three, who will play nine dates in the UK, including a highly-anticipated show in the capital at O2 Kentish Town Forum.

“It’s really cool to see European crowds embrace The Cadillac Three’s sound and hear our influences fuel each show. We cut our teeth on everything from the greats at The Opry to Widespread Panic because we love lyrics with depth just as much as shredding guitars, epic anthems and those for your lady,” shared TC3 frontman Jaren Johnston. “We keep coming back and they keep showing up for us … it’s a really special thing for us to sing along together with our pals across the pond!”

Before they head overseas, the Cadillac Three will headline their first show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium August 31. TC3 is taking “Dang If We Didn’t” and “American Slang” to radio as official singles for the US (July 10) and UK (impacting now) respectively. The songs lead the arrival of their new album Legacy, due Aug. 25 on Big Machine Records.

Chris Tomlin Announces Good Good Father Tour

Chris Tomlin is launching a new tour named after his smash single, “Good Good Father,” which was RIAA-certified gold and spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Christian Tracks Chart. The Good Good Father Tour will kick off October 13 with special guest Matt Maher and will include performances of some of the most widely known worship songs in the world such as “How Great Is Our God” and “Whom Shall I Fear [God of Angel Armies],” as well as hits from Tomlin’s latest release Never Lose Sight. The album features Tomlin’s new single, “Home,” which recently hit No. 1, along with the tour’s namesake/chart-topping hit, “Good Good Father.”

“It’s incredible to see how the song “Good Good Father” has impacted people around the world. AXS, Spotify To Offer Tailored Event Recommendations Via Mobile And Desktop Apps

AXS and Spotify have partnered on a new global arrangement, where listeners will get personalized recommendations for live shows and events in their area through the live events AXS tickets annually. More than 100 million active Spotify users will be able to buy AXS tickets through the Spotify desktop or mobile app now, and personalized event recommendations will be based on listening behavior, artist preferences, user location and will be delivered to the listener in various ways. Spotify users will gain access to the more than 25,000 annual music events ticketed by AXS globally now through the new partnership.

Directly integrated through the AXS API for a real time user experience, Spotify’s Concerts Section now surfaces personalized events and events will also appear on the Artist Pages under the Concert tabs on Desktop, the Artist Pages on mobile under On Tour, and in the concert recommendation emails Spotify sends out on a bi-weekly basis.

“This integration enables a direct connection between the 100 Million Spotify users and seeing their favorite bands live,” said Dean DeWulf, SVP, Music for AXS. “Fans, Artists, promoters and our venue clients all benefit from this aligned technology — it’s a natural fit that extends the reach of the AXS platform into the Spotify ecosystem.”

Shelby Lynne, Allison Moorer Team Up For New Album, Tour

Making it a family affair this time around, sisters Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer are hitting the road together on select dates in support of their upcoming release Not Dark Yet. The new album, due out Aug. 18 (Silver Cross/Thirty Tigers), was produced by Teddy Thompson and marks the first time the siblings have recorded an album together. 

The shows will kick off in New York City with two nights at City Winery, followed by stops in Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Nashville, and a few other cities. This marks the first time the sisters have toured together since 2010.

NPR has unveiled an exclusive preview of the album’s title track/Bob Dylan cover, “Not Dark Yet” today here. The collection, which was recorded in Los Angeles last summer, also includes an array of songs by writers ranging from the Louvin Brothers and Nick Cave, to Kurt Cobain and Jessie Colter.

Bobby Bones To Tour With His “Class Of 2017” Picks

Bobby Bones is doing a mini-tour hitting four cities in August with his “Class Of 2017” artists and his band The Raging Idiots. “Class Of 2017” artists Bailey Bryan, Jackie Lee, and Aubrie Sellers will join Bones for dates in Kentucky, Missouri, Wisconsin and Illinois for the Summer shows. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 16.

Bones has chosen artists he believes are the next big thing for the past three years and rallies behind them to share their music as his “Class Of” artists, and former picks include Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, and Jon Pardi.

“I can’t wait to get back on the road with the Raging Idiots,” Bones said of the upcoming tour. “But I’m especially looking forward to taking out these great new artists.”
