Music rights company BMG is under the sole ownership of Bertelsmann once again. BMG has completed the acquisition of the shares previously held by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) after receiving regulatory approval.
Jewel has been named as a performer during the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music awards, in partnership with ACM Lifting Lives to help raise awareness for ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here campaign. Jewel will perform a live mash-up of her hit “Hands” combined with “Fill a Heart,” an original song written by singer-songwriter Tori Kelly.



The Ryman Auditorium invites attendees to share their experiences at the Ryman via their favorite social media network, featuring the hashtag #myryman. Attendees or visitors are encouraged to use the hashtag across various formats, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, Vine, etc.
Amy Grant will release her first full-length studio album in ten years on May 14. How Mercy Looks From Here was produced by Marshall Altman (Natasha Bedingfield, Matt Nathanson) and is stacked with guest appearances by James Taylor, Carole King, Sheryl Crow, Eric Paslay, Will Hoge, and of course, husband Vince Gill.
Kelly Clarkson has joined Maroon 5 for the Honda Civic Tour, which will kick off Aug. 1 in St. Louis and run through Oct. 15. So far, no Tennessee dates are on the books, but the show will stop in Atlanta on Sept. 16.
Hunter Hayes will debut his latest single, “I Want Crazy,” during a performance at the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday (April 7) at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Hayes is nominated for several ACM Awards, including nominations in the “Song of the Year,” “Single Record of the Year” and “Video of the Year” categories.
Taylor Swift will appear on the May 14 season finale of FOX’s New Girl. The series stars Zooey Deschanel as Jessica Day, who lives with three male roommates. Swift has previously appeared in in the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day in 2010 and an episode of CSI in 2009.
Songwriter Craig Wiseman will welcome Florida Georgia Line, along with other friends/musicians at the Ryman Auditorium on June 4 for Stars for Second Harvest. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. CT. Tickets are $50 and $35. For more information, visit
