On The Row: Ethan Burdick Previews ‘The Treehouse’
Ethan Burdick stopped by the MusicRow office to share a preview of his debut EP, The Treehouse, due on Nov. 13 via Back Blocks Music.
Originally from Vancouver, Washington, Burdick got his start playing drums in marching band and jazz band before he was discovered on TikTok by Back Blocks Founder & CEO Rakiyah Marshall. He moved to Nashville in 2025 to pursue music full time.
Growing up, Burdick listened to the oldies, rock and soul that his dad and uncle sang, before moving on to Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber, and later Noah Kahan, Lizzy McAlpine and John Mayer.

His debut single, “I Get The Picture,” earned more than five million TikTok views ahead of its April release, landing him on SiriusXM Hits 1’s playlist, a spot as one of the channel’s Hits 1 To Watch artists and a billboard in Times Square. The nine-track The Treehouse explores faith, love, heartbreak, family and growing up.
During the visit, the humble, soft-spoken Burdick wowed the room with “Maybe,” “I Get The Picture” and “Fine.” Of “Fine,” he says, “People will come up to me after the show and tell me they struggle with anxiety too. It’s wild to me that my music has that kind of effect on people. That’s why I think I’m here doing music—to let my music help people in a positive way.”
Following a run with Jelly Roll, Burdick is on the road this fall with Hudson Westbrook’s “Hits Me Tour.”
