Tenille Townes Readies New Deluxe Edition Of ‘The Acrobat’
Tenille Townes will release The Acrobat: A Place to Land, an expanded edition of her first indie album, The Acrobat, on Nov. 6. A new single from the project, “The Long Haul,” is out now.
Featuring four new songs, the deluxe edition expands on the themes of love, longing, surrender and perseverance at the heart of The Acrobat. On the project, Townes reimagines “She Plays the Piano” with piano and strings, and shares a rendition of Patty Griffin’s “Let Him Fly,” the song that inspired the record’s title track.
“I didn’t know when I sat in front of one mic in my spare room next to my dog, that the music I was working on would go from feeling like the scariest leap of my life, to becoming a place to land,” Townes shares. “This album has shown me what can happen when you just keep creating even when you feel like giving up. That carrying on is the bravest way to bet on yourself again.”
Townes is currently on the road with upcoming shows in California, Utah, Colorado and more.
