Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers & Chris Stapleton To Open 25th Annual Americana Honors & Awards Show
Tom Petty‘s Heartbreakers band will reunite tonight (Sept. 16) in Nashville for a history-making performance featuring Chris Stapleton at the 25th Annual Americana Honors & Awards at the Ryman Auditorium.
The original members of the Heartbreakers—Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Stan Lynch and Ron Blair—will open the show with the special reunion performance, and will also receive the Lifetime Achievement Award during tonight’s ceremony. Heartbreakers Steve Ferrone and Scott Thurston will join onstage for a final song. Doors open at the 25th Annual Americana Honors & Awards at 5 p.m. CT, and show time is 6:30 p.m. CT. The Heartbreakers will also discuss the legacy of the band during the panel, “Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers: 50 Years,” at the AMERICANAFEST Business Conference at the Embassy Suites Downtown Nashville on Thursday (Sept. 17). AMERICANAFEST Wristband or Conference Day Passes can be purchased here.
