Kenny Whitmire Makes Grand Ole Opry Debut
Rising MCA artist Kenny Whitmire made his Grand Ole Opry debut on Tuesday night (Aug. 18).
Launching into his debut with a solo rendition of his newest single, “Movin’ On’s Movin’ In” feat. Vince Gill, Whitmire fulfilled a lifelong dream in front of the Tuesday night Opry crowd. He followed that up with his breakthrough viral hit, “I Gave Her The Moon,” punctuated by the backing of the Opry’s renowned house band.
Whitmire returns to the road this week, wrapping his summer-long run with Billy Currington this weekend before joining Luke Bryan’s “Farm Tour 2026” for four dates this fall, and serving as support on Hudson Westbrook’s “Hits Me Tour.” He also has his own slate of “Ain’t Hard Livin’ Tour” headlining dates on tap for the fall as well.
