Dolly Parton Celebrates 82 New Global RIAA Certifications
Dolly Parton is celebrating 82 new global sales certifications earned over the past five years, spanning singles and albums across 14 countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, South Africa and more. Among the latest honors, “Jolene” has earned Diamond certifications in Canada and the Netherlands, while “9 to 5” has achieved Diamond status in Canada. Both iconic songs have also earned Multi-Platinum certifications across numerous international markets. “I Will Always Love You” and “Islands in the Stream” have also received new Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum certifications.
Keith Urban Surprises With Pop-Up Performance At Smitty Corporate Band Challenge Benefiting W.O. Smith Music School
Keith Urban surprised the crowd at Chief’s on Broadway in Nashville on Monday (Aug. 17), performing during “The Smitty Corporate Band Challenge,” an annual music competition benefiting W.O. Smith Music School. Urban is a long-time supporter of the school’s mission to provide high-quality music education to low-income children. The bands and the corporations they represent helped raise $77,500 for the school.
The evening featured memorable performances and friendly rivalry from Gross Potential from UTA, The Nashville Bards from CAA, Monkey Business from 800 Pound Gorilla Media, Business as Usual from Concord and RJ & The Steps from WME, who competed and were evaluated on musical talent, stage presence and audience engagement. CAA took home the first-place title and nine-foot trophy.
Ashley McBryde Performs ‘What If We Don’t’ On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’
Ashley McBryde performed the first single from her new album, Wild on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Aug. 19. McBryde heads to Atlanta tomorrow night, opening for Chris Stapleton on his “All-American Road Show” at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Bryan Martin Honored With Triple Platinum Plaque During BMI Rooftop On Row Performance

Bryan Martin was honored with a plaque earlier this week celebrating his first U.S. RIAA triple Platinum certification for his breakout song “We Ride” during BMI’s Rooftop on the Row. Martin brought his gritty, Southern-rock sound to the event, performing songs including “Wolves Cry,” and “Memory to Drown,” before wrapping the set with “We Ride.” Martin is set to release his new song, “Complex,” on Aug. 28.

Indie/alternative rock band Harvey Street has signed with Nashville-based management company Deep South Entertainment, marking a major new chapter for the rapidly rising band. The partnership comes as Harvey Street continues to build a devoted national audience and has amassed over 225k monthly listeners on Spotify alone, with over 15MM streams on all platforms in the last 12 months.
