Wyatt McCubbin Inks With Lucille Records
Wyatt McCubbin has inked with Dave Cobb‘s Lucille Records.
Originally from a four-way-stop town in Ohio, McCubbin has spent the last 16 years honing his craft and writing nearly 2,000 songs. He has three songs currently climbing the country radio charts including Riley Green’s “Think As You Drunk,” Cody Johnson’s “Horseback” and Jon Pardi’s “Boots Off.” Next month, McCubbin will support Zach Top on his “Cold Beer & Country Music Tour,” making stops in Ottawa, San Diego, Anaheim, San Antonio and more.
“Working with Dave Cobb has been the most inspiring chapter of my journey creatively,” he shares. “He knows how to put a microphone on the heart of an artist and capture more than just a voice. Dave is a country song’s best friend.”
“I’ve always believed it all starts with a song. I loved Wyatt because he truly follows in the legacy of great songwriter-artists like Don Williams and Kris Kristofferson,” Cobb says.
Alongside the announcement, he released his new single “Andy Griffith,” which was produced by Cobb and co-written by McCubbin alongside Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Conner Smith.
“‘Andy Griffith’ is a reminder that simple is not lost and it shows us that we do not have to go back in time to feel like we went back in time. This song is everything I want my life to be,” adds McCubbin.
