Rissi Palmer Offers ‘Perspectives’ On New Four-Song EP, Out Now
Rissi Palmer‘s new four-song Perspectives EP is out today (Feb. 6).
In celebration of the release, Palmer is making a series of special appearances in Nashville today, including guesting on WSM Radio’s Coffee, Country & Cody. This afternoon, her Apple Music Country show Color Me Country with Rissi Palmer will air live from Nashville, featuring music from Perspectives, a surprise guest host, and a special live performance by Palmer. Fans can tune in at 1 p.m. CT on Apple Music Country.
Later tonight, Palmer will return to the Grand Ole Opry to perform songs from the new album, continuing a historic relationship that began with her groundbreaking debut in 2007 and has included multiple Opry appearances over the years.
Produced primarily by Shannon Sanders, Perspectives was sparked by Palmer’s time on the 2025 “Trailblazing Women of Country Tour,” where honoring the legacies of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton reconnected her to the genre’s storytelling roots. On “Somebody Somewhere,” the lone track produced by Dan Knobler, Palmer revisits the Loretta Lynn classic with quiet reverence and inhabits the song through her own lived experience, embodying the spirit behind the EP’s title.
“Making new music has been my focus for the last year and I am so excited to share it with the world,” says Palmer. “With so much happening in the world right now, I’m trying to do my best to use my music and voice to amplify and resist through joy and hope.”
Perspectives Track List:
1. “Old Black Southern Woman” – Rissi Palmer/Kyshona Lamiere
2. “Can You Run?” – Chris Stapleton/Mike Henderson
3. “Good To Me” – Rissi Palmer/Shannon Sanders/Hilton Wright II
4. “Somebody Somewhere (Don’t Know What He’s Missin’ Tonight)” – Lola Jean Dillon
