T.J. Martell Foundation Unveils Honorees For 50th Anniversary Gala Set For September
The T.J. Martell Foundation, the music industry’s leading foundation that provides funds for innovative cancer research, will celebrate its 50th anniversary year at the Annual New York Honors Gala on Sept. 16. The evening’s program will include a fundraising auction, with special performances and celebrity presenters to be announced in the weeks ahead.
To mark this milestone, the Foundation will debut a new honor dubbed the Circle of Legends. The inaugural honorees include Michele Anthony, Irving Azoff, Dr. Mitchell C. Benson, Steve Boom, Scott Borchetta, Will Botwin, Jim Caparro, Gary Casson, Warren Christensen, Tom Corson, Archie Davis, Clive Davis, Seth England, John Esposito, Dave Glew, Charlie Feldman, Jason Flom, Tom Freston, Joe Galante, Daniel Glass, David Glinert (deceased), Floyd Glinert (deceased), Charles Goldstuck, Berry Gordy, Jeff Harleston, Clint Higham, Jimmy Jam, Joel A. Katz (deceased), Michael Kushner, Aaron Levy, Terry Lewis, Avery Lipman, Monte Lipman, Carianne Marshall, Tony Martell (deceased), Harvey Mason Jr., Judy McGrath, Tommy Mottola, Mike O’Neill, Dino Paredes, Michael Pollack, Frances W. Preston (deceased), Diarmuid Quinn, Michael Reinert, Marc Reiter, Scott Rodger, Julie Swidler, John Sykes, Marsha Vlasic, Ron Wilcox and Chaka Zulu. Additional names may be announced in the coming weeks.

It’s a powerful reminder of the extraordinary people who built this Foundation from the ground up,”says Steve Gawley, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. “With the launch of the Circle of Legends, we celebrate the visionaries whose generosity and commitment made five decades of progress possible and we welcome the next generation of leaders stepping up to carry the mission forward.”

The 2025 New York Honors Gala is being led by Board Chairman Gawley in collaboration with the Foundation’s executive committee.
